The 2026 Can-Am Pulse starts at $10,999 in the U.S.—$3,000 below the listed starting MSRP for the 2025 model—but the lower price does not make it a do-everything electric motorcycle. Its strongest case is a predictable city commute with convenient AC charging. If your regular route includes sustained highway speeds or longer trips, range and the absence of listed DC fast charging matter more than the sticker-price drop.
What changed in the 2026 price?
BRP lists the standard 2026 Pulse at a starting MSRP of $10,999 in the U.S. and also shows a separate standard Pulse price point of $11,499. The same page lists the Pulse ’73 from $12,999 and the 2025 Pulse from $13,999. The $3,000 year-over-year difference compares listed entry MSRPs; it is not a guaranteed saving on every trim or a dealer’s out-the-door price. Transportation and preparation fees vary by selection. That lower entry point improves the Pulse’s value case, but only if its range, charging, and storage work for your use. A cheaper motorcycle that cannot comfortably cover your normal route is not a better fit.
How far can the Pulse go?
The North American specification sheet lists an 8.9 kWh battery and three estimates when fully charged. They use different conditions, so the city figure should not be treated as a promise for highway travel. BRP’s 2026 North American specification sheet

Independent reviewer Bastien Theron reported up to 87 miles in his city riding, on roads no faster than 43 mph, and about 50 miles at 62 mph. He rode 570 km over several trips, including city and faster roads, in varied weather. Those are his observations, not a controlled multi-rider range study or a guarantee for another rider. For a commute, judge range against the faster portions of your actual route and leave room for detours, weather, and the charging options at your destination. The official 55-mile sustained-50-mph estimate is the more relevant published figure if your regular ride involves that speed; neither it nor the city estimate establishes a comfortable road-trip range.

What charging does it support?
The Pulse uses an onboard 6.6 kW charger and a Type 1 J1772 connector. BRP gives these charging-time estimates:

These are manufacturer estimates. The specification sheet lists AC Level 1 and Level 2 charging; it does not list DC fast charging. That makes access to a suitable J1772 AC charging point at home or work particularly useful, while limiting flexibility on longer rides.

How does it perform and feel in city use?
BRP lists a liquid-cooled Rotax E-Power motor with 47 hp peak (35 kW), 27 hp continuous (20 kW), and 53 lb-ft (72 Nm) peak torque. The stated top speed is 80 mph, and BRP claims 0–60 mph in 3.8 seconds. It has clutchless direct drive, reverse, active and passive regeneration, and Normal, ECO, Rain, and Sport+ modes. Theron described the bike as nimble in urban riding, with a responsive throttle, confident braking, and useful regenerative-braking controls. Those are review impressions rather than measured performance results. His overall judgment was that the Pulse mostly delivers on getting riders through city traffic quickly and with enjoyment. What are the practical drawbacks?
Storage and comfort for daily errands
BRP lists a 390 lb curb weight, 30.86-inch seat height, and 333 lb maximum vehicle load. The specification sheet also lists a 10.25-inch touchscreen with BRP Connect and Apple CarPlay, plus ABS and motorcycle traction control. The reviewer found storage limited without accessories; BRP lists LinQ attachment points, and the review mentions bags, a top case, and a tank bag. Confirm accessory fitment for the specific model year before buying.

Theron found the interface slow and Apple CarPlay’s requirements and controls frustrating. He also reported that the cooling fan ran constantly during hot-weather riding around 30°C. These are observations from his test, not claims that every rider will encounter the same behavior.

What warranty does BRP list?
The North American specification sheet lists a two-year vehicle warranty and a five-year or 31,068-mile (50,000 km) battery warranty. Review the applicable warranty terms with a dealer for the market and motorcycle you are considering; the listed coverage periods alone do not describe every exclusion or claim condition.
Is the lower price enough to make it worth buying?
The price cut makes the Pulse more compelling as an urban commuter, especially for a rider who can charge on Level 2 AC at home or work and whose daily route fits comfortably within the faster-riding range limits. Its city-focused strengths are quick acceleration, manageable urban handling, and regenerative-braking controls. Its weaker case is for riders who need longer highway runs, DC fast charging, or substantial built-in storage.
Before deciding, compare the same model year and trim, and distinguish MSRP from dealer fees and the final transaction price. Then assess your route at realistic speeds, available charging, payload and rider fit, accessory costs, warranty terms, and dealer support. Electrek’s August 2026 review said the Pulse undercut the Zero S and LiveWire S2 Del Mar on then-current U.S. MSRPs, but those dated prices do not establish October 2026 competitor pricing or local dealer quotes. The available evidence also does not establish typical range across multiple riders or long-term reliability.
