How do you get the Ford Thunderbird in Forza Horizon 6?
Playground Games announced the 1957 Ford Thunderbird as a Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass addition available starting August 20, 2026. The announcement says new Car Pass cars are delivered to the player’s garage as they become available, without an additional in-game credit cost. Car Pass availability is separate from the Festival Playlist. Xbox’s Forza Horizon 6 listing describes Car Pass as included with the Deluxe and Premium editions and available separately to some Standard Edition or Game Pass players. Edition and subscription terms can change, so check the live listing for current access options.
Is the Thunderbird a Festival Playlist reward or Car Pass car?
The Thunderbird’s announced route is the Car Pass, not a Festival Playlist points reward. The Playlist is a separate system: players unlock it after earning their first Horizon Festival Wristband, which takes place during the first few hours of gameplay, then earn its rewards by completing activities such as races, stunts, and photo challenges. Playground Games explains those mechanics in its Series 1 announcement.

On October 5, 2026, Playground Games said that new Festival Playlist rewards would begin October 8, but did not announce the Thunderbird among those rewards. The Horizon Meets update announcement is the source for that schedule; it does not change the Thunderbird’s stated Car Pass route.
