Finding Hindi movies online for free is less about collecting a long list of websites and more about separating legitimate free viewing from expired promotions, region locks, and unauthorized uploads. The services below include ad-supported platforms, library services, official YouTube channels, Indian OTT platforms with selected free content, and open video collections.
Important: “Free” does not mean the same thing on every service. Some platforms are free with ads, some require a library or university membership, and others offer only selected titles without a subscription. Catalogs, login requirements, and country access can change by title and region.

1. YouTube
YouTube is often the simplest place to start because official studios and distributors sometimes publish complete Hindi movies at no charge. Search for a movie title together with terms such as full movie official, then verify the channel before pressing play.

The reachable Rajshri Productions channel is one example of an identifiable rights-holder source. Search results also identify Shemaroo Movies as an official Hindi-film source. Do not assume that a video is legal merely because it appears in search results: prefer studio, distributor, broadcaster, or rights-holder channels.

2. Plex
Plex has a free, ad-supported section alongside its other services. Its current navigation includes Live TV, On Demand, and Discover, with areas such as Movies & TV Shows, Most Popular, Leaving Soon, and Free Movies & TV Shows.
Use On Demand or Free Movies & TV Shows, then search for a specific Hindi title. Plex’s publicly exposed page does not establish a large Hindi catalog, so treat Hindi availability as title- and region-dependent. A Plex account provides controls such as Watchlist and Sign In, but the existence of those controls does not mean every free title requires an account.
3. Tubi
Tubi explicitly presents itself as a place to “Watch Free Movies and TV Shows Online.” It is an ad-supported service with visible Sign In and Register buttons. Film pages show useful metadata such as release year, runtime, rating, and genre; Foreign/International may help when browsing non-English cinema.

There is no verified, permanent Hindi-movie category or fixed Hindi catalog to promise. Search for individual titles, confirm that the film is available in your country, and expect advertising. Tubi’s footer also includes Help Center, Supported Devices, and Activate Your Device links if playback fails on a television.
4. Internet Archive
The Internet Archive’s movie collection is available at archive.org/details/movies. It is a digital-library collection, not a dedicated Hindi streaming service, so it is better for archival material than for finding the latest Bollywood releases.
Search the collection by title, language, or creator and inspect the individual item page. Do not assume that every uploaded film is public domain, downloadable, or cleared for unrestricted use. Rights status, available files, and playback can differ from one item to another.
5. Kanopy
Kanopy offers streaming through participating libraries and universities. If your institution supports it, visit kanopy.com, select the relevant library or university, and sign in with the credentials it provides.

This is not a universally free service. Eligibility, the number of monthly play credits, and the available Hindi titles depend on the institution. Check your library’s Kanopy page rather than assuming that a title visible in another country or university account will be playable for you.
6. Hoopla
Hoopla provides streaming video as well as audiobooks, music, and ebooks through participating libraries. Start at hoopladigital.com, select your library, and sign in with a valid library account if your library offers the service.
Hoopla’s current public page does not verify a dedicated Hindi-movie category or specific Hindi titles. Search within your own library account, because the catalog and borrowing limits are determined locally. A title may be available to one library member and absent from another library’s collection.
7. The Roku Channel
The Roku Channel currently offers free movies, TV shows, and live news online. It can be accessed through supported Roku devices and, where available, its website at therokuchannel.roku.com.

To use it responsibly, open the uploader’s profile, look for a recognizable rights holder, and check whether the description identifies the distributor or broadcaster. Avoid recommending or downloading an anonymous full-movie upload simply because it has many views.

9. ShemarooMe
ShemarooMe positions itself around Bollywood Hindi movies, Gujarati movies, and TV shows, making it one of the more directly relevant services for Hindi content. Visit shemaroome.com and check the movie page for its current access label.
The service’s Hindi-film focus does not mean the entire catalog is free without a subscription. Some titles or features may require a paid plan, and availability may be India-specific. Treat “free” as a title-level question and read the access information shown before creating an account or starting playback.
10. Hungama
Hungama is an established Indian entertainment service at hungama.com. It is worth checking for Indian video content, but the current public page does not provide enough verifiable information to promise a free Hindi-movie section, a particular number of films, or a fixed ad policy.
Search for the exact film and inspect its playback option. If the site asks for a subscription or does not expose a working free-play button, it should not be counted as a free viewing option for that title.
11. SonyLIV
SonyLIV’s current homepage carries Hindi programming, including shows such as Kaun Banega Crorepati, Hastinapur Ke Veer, and Crime Patrol episodes. It is therefore useful for Hindi entertainment, although it is not safe to describe every movie on the service as free.

Do not rely on old claims such as “500+ free Hindi movies” or “no account required.” The exact free-title count, advertisements, login requirement, and interface can change. Open the individual title page and confirm its current access status before treating it as free.
13. Amazon MX Player
MX Player is commonly mentioned in lists of free Indian streaming services, but access is strongly region-dependent. During verification, mxplayer.in displayed: “Oops!!! We are currently not available in your region.”
That message is especially relevant to readers in the United States and other unsupported markets. A region block is not a broken browser, and a VPN should not be presented as an official access method. If the service is available in your country, check its current free titles and advertising rules there.
14. JioHotstar
The current jiohotstar.com address redirects to hotstar.com. This matters because older articles may still instruct readers to search for JioCinema or describe the combined service using outdated branding.
JioHotstar is worth checking for Indian Hindi content, but the current destination did not verify a stable free Hindi-movie catalog or exact playback requirements. Search the specific film and check whether it is free, ad-supported, or part of a paid plan in your region.

How to tell whether a “free” Hindi movie is legitimate
- Identify the uploader or service. On YouTube and Dailymotion, prefer a named studio, distributor, broadcaster, or rights holder.
- Check the title page, not a search snippet. Confirm that the video plays in your country and note whether it is free, ad-supported, or subscription-only.
- Look for suspicious behavior. Multiple pop-ups, forced browser extensions, fake download buttons, and requests for payment-card details before playback are warning signs.
- Do not assume an archive upload is public domain. Inspect the Internet Archive item’s rights and description individually.
