Which tools stand out for common jobs?
For sockets and fasteners
The 3/8-inch modular general service set is the broad workshop option in this group, with sockets, ratchet, extensions, and adapters. The pick-and-hook set and snap ring pliers address more specialized jobs: reaching small clips or seals, and handling internal or external snap rings, respectively.

For torque-sensitive maintenance
The roundup describes the 1/2-inch drive torque wrench as covering 50–250 ft-lb, with manufacturer-stated accuracy of ±4% clockwise and ±6% counterclockwise. Treat those as reported product specifications, not an independent calibration test. Match the wrench range to the required torque and follow its manual and the vehicle or equipment maker’s procedure.

The combination wrench set provides metric and SAE options. What Harbor Freight’s lifetime warranty means
Harbor Freight’s official policy says: “We guarantee our Hand Tools to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product.” The company says it will replace a hand tool that fails to work properly during the lifetime of the original purchaser, subject to limitations. If the identical item is unavailable, it may provide a substantially similar replacement. This is a limited warranty, not a promise that every failure or condition is covered.
Harbor Freight’s product page for the 35-piece ratchet-and-bit set also states lifetime warranty coverage for material and workmanship defects and points to limitations and manual details. The company’s April 15, 2026 newsroom release says all ICON G2 ratchets have a lifetime guarantee. That is Harbor Freight’s own warranty claim; consult the current policy and product manual for applicable terms.
