Sportsbay-style websites are a poor choice for live sports: streams can disappear mid-game, mirror domains change frequently, and malicious ads may attempt to install unwanted software or steal account details. The safer alternatives below are legitimate streaming services, network apps, and free ad-supported platforms. The right option depends on whether you need ESPN, local broadcast channels, regional sports, a single league, or simply a free sports channel.
Pricing and channel lineups change often. The prices shown for several services come from a 2025–26 sports comparison chart, while some network updates reflect later verified service announcements. Check the provider’s checkout page before subscribing.
Quick comparison
| Alternative | Best for | Verified price or access | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| ESPN Unlimited | ESPN networks and ESPN-exclusive coverage | Subscription service; current price varies by offer | Available through the ESPN app, not a separate app |
| Fubo | Broad sports channel coverage | Eligible base plans include ESPN Unlimited access | Fubo Latino does not qualify for ESPN Unlimited |
| Hulu + Live TV | Sports plus Hulu and Disney+ libraries | $89.99/month listed in a February 2026 announcement | Local channels vary by market |
| YouTube TV | General live-TV replacement | $83/month in the referenced 2025–26 chart | Confirm the current checkout price |
| Sling Orange | Lower-cost ESPN access | $46/month in the referenced chart | Limited local-channel coverage |
| Sling Blue | FOX, NBC, FS1, and news coverage | $46/month in the referenced chart | Does not include the same ESPN lineup as Orange |
| Sling Orange + Blue | Combining ESPN with FOX/NBC coverage | $61/month in the referenced chart | This is a plan combination, not a separate service |
| DIRECTV MySports | Sports-focused channel bundle | $70/month in the referenced chart | Availability and pricing should be checked directly |
| DIRECTV Entertainment | Large general channel package | $85/month; $100 with Sports Pack in the chart | Sports networks depend on the package |
| FOX One | FOX and FOX Sports channels | $20/month in the referenced chart | It is not a replacement for ESPN |
| DAZN | Sports content offered through DAZN packages | Varies by country and package | No verified claim that it carries every major U.S. league |
| Free Fubo Sports Network hosts | Free ad-supported sports programming | Free | Not a full replacement for cable sports channels |
1. ESPN Unlimited
ESPN Unlimited is the most direct Sportsbay alternative for viewers whose priority is ESPN programming. It includes live access to ESPN networks and services, including ESPN and ESPN2, as well as ESPN-on-ABC sporting events. It is delivered inside the existing ESPN app, so you do not need to install a separate ESPN Unlimited application.

Do not confuse the current plan names with older guides that still refer to ESPN+. ESPN+ subscribers transitioned to the ESPN Select Plan; ESPN+ is not the current name for the full ESPN network streaming package. Both ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited include advertising during live events and studio shows.

- Compact without compromises: The sleek design of Roku Streaming Stick won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight. No wall outlet, no extra cords, no clutter.
- No more juggling remotes: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and control your Roku device with one remote. Use your voice to quickly search, play entertainment, and more.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
- TV, simplified: With setup that only takes minutes, a simple-to-navigate Home Screen, and an uncluttered remote control that does all you need—Roku makes it easier to watch the TV you love.
Some content is available only in the ESPN app and may not appear in the Disney+ or Hulu apps. That matters if you subscribe through a bundle and expect every ESPN program to appear in one place.
2. Fubo
Fubo is a strong replacement for an illegal sports stream because it combines live sports networks with a conventional channel guide. Eligible standard U.S. English Fubo base plans that include ESPN provide ESPN Unlimited access at no extra charge after you activate it through your MyDisney login.
Fubo Latino is not eligible because ESPN is not included in that plan’s channel lineup. Also, ESPN Unlimited may not appear in the Fubo guide. Fubo says only Fubo Sports + News subscribers see ESPN Unlimited content integrated directly into the Fubo experience; other eligible customers must use ESPN’s website or app.

- Check Store page → available base plan and confirm that the plan says “ESPN Unlimited Included.”
- On the ESPN website, visit
plus.espn.com. - Select Login and enter your credentials.
- Select a program and follow the activation prompts if requested.
In the ESPN app, launch the app, select the ESPN Unlimited icon, choose Get Access, select Log In, and complete the on-screen activation. Choose Log In, not Link your TV Provider. That wrong selection is a common reason the Fubo entitlement is not recognized. Cancelling Fubo ends the associated ESPN Unlimited access when the Fubo subscription terminates.
3. Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV suits households that want live sports alongside on-demand entertainment. Its listed channels include ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPN U, FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, Golf Channel, MLB Network, NFL Network, SEC Network, CBS Sports Network, TNT, truTV, TBS, TUDN, NBC, FOX, CBS, and ABC, subject to local-market availability.
The core plan was listed at $89.99 per month in a February 10, 2026 announcement and includes Hulu and Disney+ libraries plus live ESPN sports. Fubo Sports Network was also added to the core Hulu + Live TV lineup on that date.
There is one practical point to understand before subscribing: a Disney+/Hulu/ESPN bundle is not one unified application. You generally use separate Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN apps, although selected content is cross-accessible. Hulu + Live TV customers may receive ESPN Unlimited through their MyDisney login and should generally have immediate access.

- 4K streaming made simple:With America’s number 1 TV streaming platform,* exploring popular apps—plus tons of free movies, shows, and live TV—is as easy as it is fun. *Based on hours streamed—Hypothesis Group
- 4K picture quality: With Roku Streaming Stick Plus, watch your favorites with brilliant 4K picture and vivid HDR color.
- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight.
4. YouTube TV
YouTube TV is a general-purpose live-TV replacement with a particularly useful sports lineup. The referenced 2025–26 comparison lists ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, ESPN Select, SEC Network, FS1, FS2, ACC Network, Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network, The CW, TNT, and truTV.
The comparison chart lists the service at $83 per month. Because that is a third-party 2025–26 reference rather than a guaranteed current checkout price, verify the amount and available add-ons before paying. YouTube TV is a better fit than a single-network service if you watch college sports, national broadcasts, and general entertainment throughout the year.
5. Sling Orange
Sling Orange is one of the lower-cost choices for ESPN viewers. The referenced chart lists ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, SEC Network, ACC Network, FS1, FS2, TNT, and truTV among the available sports channels, with the exact lineup dependent on the current package.
The listed price is $46 per month, or $57 per month with Sports Extra. Sling Orange is not the best choice if local ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC coverage is essential; check your ZIP code and the current local-channel availability first.
6. Sling Blue
Sling Blue takes a different approach. The referenced lineup shows FOX, NBC, FS1, FS2, TNT, and truTV, with local channel availability depending on the market and plan. It is more useful for FOX and NBC sports coverage than for ESPN programming.
The chart lists Sling Blue at $46 per month and Sling Blue + Sports Extra at $57 per month. Sling charges $5 more per month for Sling Blue packages in five markets that receive ABC, FOX, and NBC. Check the final price after entering your location rather than relying only on the advertised base price.
7. Sling Orange + Blue
This is a plan combination rather than a separate streaming service. It combines Sling Orange’s ESPN-oriented lineup with Sling Blue’s FOX, NBC, FS1, and related coverage. The comparison chart lists Orange + Blue at $61 per month and Orange + Blue + Sports Extra at $76 per month.

- Stunning 4K and Dolby Vision streaming made simple: With America’s number 1 TV streaming platform,* exploring popular apps—plus tons of free movies, shows, and live TV—is as easy as it is fun. *Based on hours streamed—Hypothesis Group
- Breathtaking picture quality: Stunningly sharp 4K picture brings out rich detail in your entertainment with four times the resolution of HD. Watch as colors pop off your screen and enjoy lifelike clarity with Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
- Seamless streaming for any room: With Roku Streaming Stick 4K, watch your favorite entertainment on any TV in the house, even in rooms farther from your router thanks to the long-range Wi-Fi receiver.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, so you can switch from streaming to gaming with ease. Plus, it’s designed to stay hidden behind your TV, keeping wires neatly out of sight
Choose this option when neither Orange nor Blue alone covers the networks you watch. It is still important to check local affiliates: Sling’s availability is not identical in every market, and a streaming package may not provide every broadcast network at your address.
8. DIRECTV MySports
DIRECTV MySports is a sports-focused package listed at $70 per month in the referenced comparison chart. Its listed channels include ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, SEC Network, FS1, FS2, ACC Network, Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network, TNT, and truTV.
The source labels the product DIRECTV MySports, while ESPN’s support documentation refers more generally to DIRECTV streaming customers as possible ESPN Unlimited bundle recipients. Treat the exact ESPN entitlement as something to confirm during signup, especially if ESPN Unlimited is the reason you are switching.
9. DIRECTV Entertainment
DIRECTV Entertainment is the broader package for viewers who want sports channels mixed with a larger conventional-TV lineup. The comparison lists it at $85 per month, or $100 per month with Sports Pack.
Do not assume the Entertainment package carries every major sports network. The available sports channels vary by package, market, and add-on. Compare the exact channels for your teams before choosing it over MySports or a cheaper service such as Sling.
10. FOX One
FOX One is aimed at people who mainly need FOX programming. The referenced chart lists FOX, FS1, and FS2 and gives a price of $20 per month.
It is a useful supplement for FOX and FOX Sports coverage, but it is not a complete replacement for ESPN, TNT, CBS Sports Network, or a full live-TV package. The comparison also states that ESPN Unlimited and FOX One were bundleable for $40 starting October 2, 2025. Confirm that offer’s current availability rather than assuming the introductory arrangement remains active.

- No more juggling remotes: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and control your Roku Streaming Stick with the Roku remote

11. DAZN
DAZN is another legitimate sports-streaming option, but its content depends heavily on location and package. The verified information confirms that Fubo Sports Network is available in DAZN subscription packages.
That does not establish DAZN as a replacement for every U.S. major-league event or every channel carried by cable-style services. Before subscribing, search DAZN for the specific league, team, or event you want and check the rights for your country.
12. Free services carrying Fubo Sports Network
If you only need occasional sports programming, Fubo Sports Network is available free with advertising on several platforms. Fubo describes it as a free ad-supported channel with nearly 500 live events annually in its February 10, 2026 announcement.
Verified free hosts include:
- Amazon Prime Video
- LG Channels
- Samsung TV Plus
- Sling Freestream
- The Roku Channel
- VIZIO WatchFree+
- Tubi
- Plex
- TCL Channels
- TCL Live TV
- Tablo TV
These platforms are free sources for Fubo Sports Network, not free replacements for ESPN, regional sports networks, NFL Network, or a complete cable sports lineup. They are best for supplementary coverage when you do not want another monthly subscription.
How to choose the right Sportsbay alternative
- List the exact channels you need. “Sports” is too broad. Write down ESPN, FS1, local FOX, TNT, NFL Network, MLB Network, or the specific channels carrying your teams.
- Check local availability. ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC can vary by ZIP code. This is especially important with Sling, Hulu + Live TV, and other live-TV services.
- Decide whether you need one event or a full season. A network-specific service such as FOX One may be cheaper than a broad live-TV plan, while a full package is more practical for multiple leagues.
- Check the app you will actually use. ESPN access may require the ESPN app even when your subscription comes from Fubo or Hulu. Do not assume the provider’s own guide contains every entitled stream.
- Compare the final checkout total. Add-ons, regional pricing, taxes, promotional expiration dates, and sports packages can change the advertised monthly amount.
Why legal services are safer than Sportsbay mirrors
Unofficial sports-streaming mirrors commonly rely on aggressive pop-ups, fake play buttons, browser notification prompts, and redirects. Even when a stream appears to work, the site may expose you to malware, phishing pages, or deceptive subscription forms. A legitimate provider gives you a known app, account-recovery process, customer support, and clearer cancellation terms.
If you encounter a suspicious stream, do not install a required “codec” or browser extension, do not allow browser notifications, and do not enter payment details into a pop-up. Close the tab and use the broadcaster’s official service or one of the providers above.

FAQ
What is the best overall alternative to Sportsbay?
Fubo, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV are the strongest broad replacements because they combine multiple sports networks with a live channel guide. Fubo is particularly attractive for eligible plans that include ESPN Unlimited access.

Is ESPN+ still the name of ESPN’s full streaming package?
No. ESPN’s current naming distinguishes ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited. ESPN+ subscribers transitioned to the ESPN Select Plan, while ESPN Unlimited provides the broader ESPN network access described by ESPN.
Can I watch ESPN Unlimited through Fubo?
Yes, if you have an eligible standard U.S. English Fubo base plan that includes ESPN. Fubo Latino does not qualify. Activation uses your MyDisney login, and Fubo instructs customers to choose Log In rather than Link your TV Provider.
Why can’t I see ESPN Unlimited in the Fubo guide?
Only Fubo Sports + News subscribers are identified by Fubo as seeing ESPN Unlimited programming integrated directly into the Fubo experience. Other eligible subscribers need to watch through the ESPN website or ESPN app.

Among the prices in the referenced comparison, FOX One is listed at $20 per month, while Sling Orange and Sling Blue are each listed at $46 per month. Free Fubo Sports Network hosts cost nothing but provide only that network’s programming, not full sports coverage.
Are these services available outside the United States?
Availability and sports rights vary by country. ESPN, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, Sling, and DIRECTV offerings are particularly market-dependent. DAZN also uses country-specific packages, so check the service in your location before subscribing.
The Bottom Line
For the broadest legitimate Sportsbay replacement, start with Fubo, YouTube TV, or Hulu + Live TV. Choose ESPN Unlimited when ESPN is the main requirement, Sling Orange when price and ESPN matter most, FOX One for FOX-focused viewing, and the free Fubo Sports Network hosts for occasional ad-supported sports. Verify the current lineup, local channels, and checkout price before committing—especially where the information comes from a 2025–26 comparison rather than a provider’s live pricing page.
