What each Malaysian cellular model offers
Galaxy Tab S9 5G: the confirmed 11-inch premium model
Samsung Malaysia launched the Galaxy Tab S9 5G locally in August 2023 at RM4,849 for the 256GB 5G configuration. Its specification table identifies an 11.0-inch display, 5G/LTE connectivity, Android 13, an 8,400mAh typical battery and a 500g 5G-model weight. The price is a 2023 launch RRP, so it should not be treated as a current retail quote.

Choose this model when a confirmed 11-inch size and 5G capability matter more than obtaining the newest launch. The cited information does not establish its processor, RAM, charging speed, pen or keyboard bundle, warranty terms, or current Malaysian street price.
Galaxy Tab S11 5G: the newer cellular flagship option
Samsung’s later Tab S11 5G became available in Malaysia on 19 September 2025 at RM4,399. Samsung’s product page lists LTE and 5G bands for the Malaysian model, making it the most recent documented high-end cellular option in this group. The cited launch details do not state its screen diagonal, storage configuration, battery capacity or accessories, so verify those points on the exact Malaysian listing before calling it an 11-inch purchase.

- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Galaxy Tab A11 LTE: the low-cost 4G launch
Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab A11 LTE at RM699 for an 8GB+128GB configuration, with purchases available from 9 January 2026. It is the clear budget choice by launch price, but Samsung’s announcement does not state the base A11’s display size. A retailer title or product name alone is not enough evidence that it has an 11-inch panel; confirm the diagonal and LTE SKU in the specifications.

Huawei MatePad 11.5 New: useful price context, not cellular evidence
The Malaysian 2025 campaign editions cited for the MatePad 11.5 New were Wi-Fi-only: the Standard model had 6GB+128GB at RM1,299, while the PaperMatte model had 8GB+256GB at RM1,999. They demonstrate what a larger Wi-Fi tablet cost at launch, but they should not be presented as LTE alternatives.

Should you buy cellular or Wi-Fi-only?
Cellular is worthwhile when mobility is part of the job
- Buy LTE or 5G if the tablet will be used regularly away from dependable Wi-Fi for navigation, field work, commuting, video calls or emergency connectivity.
- Cellular hardware avoids repeatedly enabling a phone hotspot and can provide a more predictable connection, subject to Malaysian carrier coverage and the tablet’s supported bands.
- 5G is most useful where your carrier, plan and location support it. An LTE model can be the better value when 4G coverage is strong and the tablet is mainly for reading, documents and streaming.
Wi-Fi is the simpler value choice at home
- Choose Wi-Fi when the tablet stays near a router or phone hotspot and you do not want a separate data plan or SIM-management overhead.
- Use the price difference for more storage, a keyboard or a stylus if those accessories matter more than independent connectivity.
- Do not infer cellular support from an 11-inch screen size. The Huawei MatePad 11.5 New campaign editions, for example, were Wi-Fi-only.
Checks to make before ordering in Malaysia
- Confirm the exact model code. Match the listing to the Malaysian LTE or 5G SKU, not just the family name. This is especially important for the Galaxy Tab A11 and Lenovo Idea Tab.
- Verify the screen diagonal. The Tab S9 is documented at 11.0 inches and the Idea Tab at 11 inches. Samsung’s cited A11 announcement does not provide a diagonal, and the cited Tab S11 details do not establish one.
- Check supported bands with your carrier. Samsung lists LTE and 5G bands for the Tab S11, while Lenovo identifies FDD-LTE bands; compare the actual band list with the Malaysian network you intend to use.
- Separate launch RRP from today’s price. RM4,849 (Tab S9, 2023), RM4,399 (Tab S11, 2025) and RM699 (Tab A11 LTE, 2026) are launch figures. Lenovo’s Malaysian price is not stated in the cited material.
- Confirm what is in the box. Pen, keyboard, charger and bundle contents are not established for most models above and can vary by promotion.
- Review local support and returns. Check Malaysian warranty coverage, seller authorization, replacement policy and whether the device is intended for local network use.
Which model fits which buyer?
- Lowest documented cellular launch price: Galaxy Tab A11 LTE at RM699, provided its unconfirmed screen size meets your needs.
- Confirmed 11-inch display with 5G: Galaxy Tab S9 5G, with the documented 11.0-inch panel and 8,400mAh typical battery.
- Newest Samsung cellular launch: Galaxy Tab S11 5G, listed at RM4,399 from 19 September 2025; verify its display and configuration before purchase.
- 11-inch LTE with a stated update horizon: Lenovo Idea Tab, which lists upgrades through Android 17 and security patches through 2029; confirm Malaysian SKU, price and stock.
