These 10 PS5 games make a broad starting shortlist: they span platforming, action-adventure, racing, roguelike action, and cooperative play rather than claiming to be an objective top ten. The picks are drawn from games listed in PlayStation’s US PS5 catalog, with each recommendation aimed at a different kind of player; catalog presence is not proof of a universal ranking. Store availability and editions vary by region.
How to choose from this list
Start with the kind of play you want: a guided story, a demanding action challenge, a racing focus, or a game built around playing with others. Series context can matter, too. The games below are recommendations, not a ranked order, and the official catalog establishes that several are PS5 offerings—not that they are objectively the ten best.

10 PS5 games worth considering
1. Astro Bot — for cheerful 3D platforming
Astro Bot is an adventure centered on Astro and the Dual Speeder, with worlds, secrets, and surprises. It is the pick here for players looking for a platforming-led adventure rather than a combat-first game. PlayStation lists it in its US PS5 catalog. PlayStation’s PS5 catalog
2. God of War Ragnarök — for a story-driven action adventure
Kratos and Atreus travel across the Nine Realms during Fimbulwinter as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle. It suits players who want a character-focused adventure with a large mythic setting. PlayStation’s franchise FAQ estimates up to 40 hours for the main story plus selected side quests, or 55–60 hours to see everything; these are publisher estimates that depend on difficulty and what the player chooses to do, not guaranteed completion times. Ragnarök is available on PS5, PS4, and PC, so it is not PS5-exclusive. Official game page · PlayStation’s God of War FAQ
