The Bing homepage quiz is not a fixed, universally identical question set. During verification, different Bing URLs and locales displayed different questions. The standard page showed a question about Anacapa Island, while an India English locale showed a question about kelp holdfasts. A separate Bing endpoint displayed a question about Chicago’s Tiffany Dome.

Below are 10 useful trivia questions: the first three reproduce questions observed on current Bing pages, and the remaining seven are clearly marked as bonus questions built around the same subjects. That distinction matters because Bing’s live content can change by date, location, browser, or endpoint.

Questions observed on Bing

These are the three questions directly observed during the check of Bing’s live quiz content.

  1. Which island lies near giant kelp forests in California?

    #1 Best Overall
    • A. Santa Cruz
    • B. San Clemente
    • C. Anacapa

Answer: C — Anacapa. The associated Bing image caption identified Anacapa Island. Anacapa is one of California’s Channel Islands, off the Southern California coast.

  2. What part anchors giant kelp to the ocean floor?

    • A. Fronds
    • B. Air bladders
    • C. Holdfasts

Answer: C — Holdfasts. A holdfast is the root-like anchoring structure that grips rock or another firm surface. It is not a true root, because kelp is algae rather than a land plant.

  3. Which hall is crowned by the famous Tiffany Dome?

    • A. Preston Bradley Hall
    • B. Grand Army Hall
    • C. Lincoln Hall

Answer: A — Preston Bradley Hall. The Tiffany Dome is in Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center. Its glasswork is one of the building’s best-known features.

Seven bonus questions on the same themes

The following questions are an editorial practice set, not a claim that these seven questions appeared on the live Bing page. They extend the island, kelp, and Tiffany Dome topics so readers can test their knowledge without treating a changing homepage quiz as a permanent archive.

  1. What type of organism is giant kelp?

    • A. A flowering plant
    • B. Brown algae
    • C. Moss

Answer: B — Brown algae. Giant kelp belongs to the brown algae group. It may resemble an underwater tree or plant, but it does not have the same roots, stems, and leaves as a terrestrial flowering plant.

  2. Which structure gives giant kelp much of its buoyancy?

    • A. Air bladders
    • B. Shells
    • C. Coral branches

Answer: A — Air bladders. Gas-filled floats, often called pneumatocysts, help lift kelp blades toward sunlight at the ocean surface. The holdfast anchors the kelp; the air bladders help position it in the water.

  3. What is a kelp forest?

    • A. A forest made from submerged trees
    • B. A marine habitat formed by dense kelp growth
    • C. A layer of sea ice covered with algae

Answer: B — A marine habitat formed by dense kelp growth. Kelp forests create three-dimensional underwater habitat. Fish, invertebrates, marine mammals, and many other organisms can use the canopy, stalks, or seafloor area.

  4. What does a kelp frond most closely correspond to?

    • A. A leaf-like blade
    • B. A seafloor root
    • C. A limestone reef

Answer: A — A leaf-like blade. Kelp blades, commonly called fronds, spread through the water and absorb light. They should not be confused with holdfasts, which perform the anchoring job.

  5. Where is Anacapa Island located?

    • A. In California’s Channel Islands
    • B. In New York Harbor
    • C. In Hawaii’s main island chain

Answer: A — In California’s Channel Islands. Anacapa is an island group off the Southern California coast. It is associated with the Channel Islands National Park and the surrounding marine environment.

  6. What is the Tiffany Dome primarily made from?

    • A. Stained glass
    • B. Solid marble
    • C. Painted canvas

Answer: A — Stained glass. The dome is a large decorative glass feature. Its name refers to the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company, whose work is associated with the installation.

How to check the current Bing homepage quiz

Because the quiz is dynamic, use the live page rather than relying on an undated answer list.

  1. Open Bing in the browser and locale you normally use.
  2. Look for the section labeled Bing homepage quiz. That is the current label observed on the live page.
  3. Read the question and all answer choices shown on your page. Do not assume that another country’s Bing page will show the same question.
  4. Record the date, locale, and URL if you are saving an answer for later. For example, a page with ?cc=IN&cc=in&setlang=en returned different content from the default page during verification.
  5. Submit the answer on the page itself and follow the result shown there. The current pages checked did not establish a universal score, points amount, login requirement, or completion limit.

What not to assume about Bing quizzes

Older Microsoft documentation can cause confusion. A June 30, 2016 Bing article described a homepage quiz opened by hovering over a graduation-cap icon. It also described a three-question format with a score and sharing options. That same article discussed a separate seven-question Weekly Trends Quiz in the Popular Now carousel and separate Bing Rewards quizzes.

Those historical details should not automatically be presented as the current interface. The live page checked in this review uses the label Bing homepage quiz, and the available results did not verify a permanent three-question format, Microsoft Rewards points, a graduation-cap shortcut, or a fixed archive of 10 questions.

If a question disappears, an answer choice changes, or the quiz is missing entirely, that does not necessarily mean the browser is broken. It may reflect Bing’s rotating content, regional targeting, account state, or a different endpoint. Refreshing the page, checking the normal Bing domain, and comparing the locale are more reliable troubleshooting steps than using an old answer page.

FAQ

Are these the official 10 questions in today’s Bing homepage quiz?

No. Three questions were directly observed on current Bing pages: the Anacapa Island question, the kelp holdfast question, and the Tiffany Dome question. The other seven are bonus practice questions. Bing’s live quiz content is dynamic and can vary by locale and endpoint.

What is the answer to the Anacapa Island Bing quiz question?

C — Anacapa. The current Bing image caption associated with the question identified Anacapa Island.

What anchors giant kelp to the ocean floor?

C — Holdfasts. A holdfast grips the seafloor or another hard surface. It is root-like in function but is not a true plant root.

Which hall contains the Tiffany Dome?

A — Preston Bradley Hall. The hall is in the Chicago Cultural Center.

Does the Bing homepage quiz always have three questions?

That format was described in Microsoft’s 2016 documentation, but the current results checked here did not verify that it remains a universal rule. Avoid treating the historical format as a current guarantee.

Does every Bing homepage quiz award Microsoft Rewards points?

The current pages checked did not verify a points amount or a universal Rewards connection. Do not assume points are available unless the page or your signed-in Rewards account explicitly shows them.

The Bottom Line

The safest answers from the currently observed Bing content are C — Anacapa, C — Holdfasts, and A — Preston Bradley Hall. Treat the remaining seven as bonus trivia rather than archived Bing questions. Since Bing serves changing, locale-sensitive content, check the live page and record its date and URL whenever an exact “today’s answers” list matters.
