4. Plex
Plex provides free, ad-supported movies, shows, and live TV. It is also widely used as a personal-media server, but those are separate features: Plex’s free catalog is content supplied through the service, while the media-server function lets you organize and stream your own legally obtained collection.
Plex works well for households that want both options in one ecosystem. You can use its free catalog when you want something immediately available, then use the separate personal-library features for your own files.
