Hole is the best mutation by the reported multiplier ranking, at 20x, followed by Venom at 10x. Third-party guides also report Gold at 2x and Diamond at 5x. These are not developer-confirmed values, so check the live in-game labels after updates.
How mutations fit into the game
In +1 Drain Water Per Click, clicks earn Water, which you use to drain pools and discover fish. The game’s Roblox listing describes progressing to larger pools and areas, buying upgrades, collecting pets, and earning wins; it says the experience supports all devices.
Some fish spawn with mutations. Third-party guides report that mutations raise both a fish’s sale value and its aquarium earning rate. They describe mutation names appearing above fish names, with color as an additional visual hint. Use the label rather than color alone to identify a fish.
Which mutations are best?
The following ranking and multipliers are reported by third-party guides, not published as an official developer specification. One guide identifies its figures as an August 20, 2026 snapshot; treat them as subject to change.

On those reported values, Hole ranks highest and Venom second. “Best” can also depend on whether you want immediate cash from selling a fish or ongoing aquarium income; the guides do not provide a universal calculation for when one option is more profitable than the other.
How Poison and Black Hole weather affect spawns
Guides pair Poison weather with Venom fish and Black Hole weather with Hole fish. They report that each matching event lasts about four minutes and raises the matching mutation’s spawn chance by about 10%. Those approximate figures are not official developer-confirmed statistics, and an event does not guarantee a mutated fish.

Exact baseline mutation odds, differences between pools or areas, and a dependable event schedule are not established by the guides. Use the live event indicator rather than relying on a predicted schedule.
What to do during a matching weather event
- Check the live event indicator. When Poison or Black Hole weather appears, head to a pool and focus on new fish spawns.
- Drain pools and inspect each fish’s label. The event is brief, so check the text above the fish name instead of relying on color alone.
- Pick up a fish you want promptly. Guides report that fish left as world spawns can despawn.
- Choose whether to sell or display the fish. Consider your need for cash alongside your aquarium plans; no source establishes a general sell-versus-display break-even point.
Weather affects the reported chances for matching new spawns. It does not turn an ordinary fish already in your backpack or aquarium into a mutated fish.

- The reported multiplier ranking gives a way to compare mutation tiers, but it is not a guarantee that a particular fish will spawn with one.
- The reported 10% weather boost is approximate; the guides do not specify a confirmed baseline rate or show that it applies identically across every pool and area.
- The event duration is also approximate, and no reliable cadence is established for when Poison or Black Hole weather will return.
Because these details may change, verify mutation names and any current in-game event information while playing.
