Linea Sketch review
A focused iPhone sketching app with capable tools and a strict five-layer canvas.

Linea Sketch is an iOS drawing and note-taking app for iPhone and iPad, with a macOS counterpart. It targets solo users who want to sketch with a finger or stylus, including Apple Pencil, while keeping tools accessible for technical notes and visual ideas. The canvas supports five rearrangeable, mergeable and adjustable layers, and the app combines drawing tools with text annotations, textures and image import.
The app is offered as a free download with in-app purchases. Published options include Monthly Subscription, Yearly Subscription and Full Purchase plans. Its workflow covers technical pencil, art pencil, felt-tip pen, marker, watercolor, fill, blend and eraser tools, with pressure-sensitive brush sizes plus Apple Pencil pressure and tilt support. ZipShape creates auto-shapes, while selection transformation tools help refine selected areas. Drawings can be exported as PNG, JPEG, PSD or PDF files, and time-lapse recording supports video export.
Linea Sketch also fits workflows that move work between devices or services: the listed integrations are Slack, Dropbox and AirDrop, and deployment spans mobile and desktop through iOS and macOS. The five-layer ceiling is a clear boundary for layered projects, so it suits lightweight sketches and annotated concepts better than documents requiring deep layer structures. There are no AI features, and documentation is the listed support channel. Choose it for focused iPhone sketching, Apple Pencil input and straightforward export; consider another drawing app if you need a broader feature set or more extensive layer management.
