You can make an XXXTentacion-style cover only after clearing two separate permissions: the song’s composition and the singer’s voice identity. Use an authorized vocal model or your own licensed model, keep proof of consent, disclose AI use when a platform requires it, and check every tool’s commercial terms before publishing.
Understand The Rights Before You Generate
- Voice identity: Spotify’s policy says vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it. That means you should not clone XXXTentacion’s voice from recordings unless the relevant rights holder has given permission. Spotify’s AI protections also address spam and AI disclosures.
- Song rights: A cover still uses the underlying lyrics and composition. Confirm the licence needed for your intended release, territory and platform.
- Platform disclosure: Spotify announced an “AI Persona” badge for identities that may be AI-generated. Read Spotify’s AI Persona announcement and follow the upload service’s current disclosure rules.
Choose A Workflow That Fits An XXXTentacion Cover
The musical target usually needs a clean split between melodic vocals and rap, controlled pitch changes, audible breath and grit, and tight timing against the original groove. No listed tool establishes that it contains an XXXTentacion model, so search each library and confirm the model’s authorization before processing audio.

Prepare An Authorized Source
- Write down the song title, songwriter or publisher information and the release destination.
- Obtain an instrumental or vocal recording you are allowed to process. Do not rip a track merely because a tool accepts a YouTube link.
- For a voice model, save written permission identifying the voice owner, permitted uses, territories, duration and whether commercial distribution is allowed.
- Decide whether your result is a tribute, private experiment or monetized release. Tool plans and model licences can treat these uses differently.
Separate The Track Into Usable Parts
- Upload the permitted audio to LALAL.AI or use the separation function in Tunela or AI Song Creator.
- Preview the vocal stem for bleed, doubled consonants and missing low notes. If the service only offers a preview on its free tier, do not treat that preview as a downloadable master.
- Keep the instrumental at its original tempo and key first. Make a second copy for experiments so you can compare timing and pitch changes.
Convert The Performance Without Faking Authorization
- Choose a voice model whose owner has authorized the use. If a service lists a model that appears to represent XXXTentacion but provides no permission information, stop and ask the vendor or rights holder.
- For a browser workflow, import the separated vocal into FineShare Singify, Media.io AI Song Cover Generator or Tunela. For a local workflow, use Applio, UtaiSynthesizer or AICoverGen.
- Process melodic and rap sections separately when the tool allows it. Use a clean, restrained setting for verses, then adjust pitch or expression only where the melody requires it. Avoid settings that erase breaths or consonant attacks.
- Render a short test containing one sung phrase, one rap phrase and a transition. Listen for clipped sibilants, robotic note changes and timing drift before rendering the full song.
- Export a lossless file when the selected tool offers FLAC or WAV, then keep the original vocal, converted stem and project notes together.
Mix And Label The Cover
- Align the converted vocal to the instrumental without stretching the entire song to hide local timing errors.
- Automate volume so quiet, intimate lines remain audible while louder ad-libs do not mask the beat.
- Credit the songwriters and disclose that the vocal is AI-generated wherever the distributor or platform requests it.
- Keep your consent record, source licence and model terms with the final master. If any document is missing, keep the track private until you resolve it.

Release Decision
Publish only when you can show permission for the voice, the required cover licence, and compliance with the tool’s terms. If you cannot verify an XXXTentacion voice model’s authorization, use a distinctly different authorized voice or keep the experiment private.
