The non-XT AMD Radeon RX 9060 was reported in August 2025 as a quietly introduced RDNA 4 graphics card with 8GB of memory. HotHardware said its specifications came from an AMD product listing, while reporting that distribution was limited to select system integrators. That does not establish current stock or standalone retail availability.
What are the reported AMD Radeon RX 9060 specs?
HotHardware’s August 5, 2025 report attributes the following specifications to an AMD product listing. The reviewed official AMD document covers the separate RX 9060 XT, not this non-XT model, so these RX 9060 figures should be understood as reported specifications rather than details verified in that XT document.
| Specification | RX 9060 reported figure |
|---|---|
| Architecture | RDNA 4, as described by HotHardware |
| Compute units | 28 |
| Stream processors | 1,792 |
| Ray accelerators | 28 |
| AI accelerators | 56 |
| Render backends (ROPs) | 64 |
| Texture mapping units | 112 |
| Memory | 8GB GDDR6 |
| Memory speed and bus | 18Gbps on a 128-bit bus |
| Memory bandwidth | Up to 288GB/s |
| Infinity Cache | 32MB |
| GPU clock information | Not stated in the AMD listing HotHardware consulted |
HotHardware characterized the introduction as a “stealth launch” because it had not seen a public AMD press release or blog post at the time. Its account of limited distribution through select system integrators is a reported claim, not proof that every RX 9060 is restricted to prebuilts today. Read HotHardware’s report.
How is the RX 9060 different from the RX 9060 XT?
The RX 9060 and RX 9060 XT are distinct models; XT specifications and benchmark results should not be attributed to the non-XT card. AMD’s June 2025 official RX 9060 XT document lists 32 compute units for both XT memory configurations, compared with the 28 compute units HotHardware reported for the RX 9060.

| RX 9060 | 28, reported by HotHardware from an AMD listing | 8GB GDDR6, reported by HotHardware | Reported 1,792 stream processors, 128-bit bus, up to 288GB/s bandwidth and 32MB Infinity Cache |
| RX 9060 XT 8GB | 32, according to AMD | 8GB | Up to 3.13GHz boost clock; 150W reference total board power |
| RX 9060 XT 16GB | 32, according to AMD | 16GB | Up to 3.13GHz boost clock; 160W reference total board power |
AMD cautions that partner-board specifications may differ from reference specifications. Its RX 9060 XT performance comparisons are vendor lab results on a Ryzen 7 9800X3D system with 32GB DDR5-6000, Windows 11 Pro, and game builds current around May 2025. Those XT tests do not establish RX 9060 performance. AMD’s phrase that the XT cards are “built to deliver all that’s needed for ultra-fast gaming” is marketing language about the XT family, not an independent assessment of the RX 9060. See AMD’s RX 9060 XT product document.
Where can you buy an RX 9060?
The August 2025 report relayed another outlet’s claim that AMD’s press release was distributed to “select system integrators,” and noted ASUS and XFX listings. This indicates reported system-integrator distribution at launch, but it does not verify a universal restriction or current availability. The available evidence does not establish a current price, inventory, or whether the card can be bought as a standalone component.

If you are considering a gaming PC advertised with an RX 9060, check the exact GPU model on the system specification page and confirm whether the listing says RX 9060 or RX 9060 XT. Also verify the card’s memory capacity and whether the seller is offering a complete prebuilt or the graphics card separately. Current listings and stock were not checked here, so confirm availability and configuration with the seller before purchase.

The reported 8GB capacity and 28 compute units identify the RX 9060’s published configuration; they do not, by themselves, establish frame rates, value, or how it compares in games with other GPUs. No RX 9060 benchmark testing or current price survey is established in the cited material. Avoid using RX 9060 XT benchmarks as a substitute: it has a different model designation and 32 compute units.
