Short answer: the iPhone 18 Pro is the only officially documented phone in this comparison. Apple confirms its cameras, A20 Pro chip, iOS 27 software, storage options and IP68 rating. The Nubia V90 Pro remains a leak-only model: reports suggest a 108MP camera and a larger 6.75-inch display, but Nubia has not confirmed the phone, its processor, price, launch date, software support or even final markets. You cannot fairly declare a camera or performance winner yet.
What is confirmed—and what is still a rumor?
This is not a normal retail-phone comparison. Apple introduced the iPhone 18 Pro in 2026 and publishes a complete specification set. Reports dated October 18–19, 2026 describe promotional images that may belong to a Nubia V90 Pro, but Nubia has not published an official product page or final specification sheet.
That difference changes every buying decision. Confirmed iPhone features can be assessed directly. Leaked Nubia figures should be treated as provisional marketing claims, not as specifications you can rely on for a purchase, contract or long-term support decision.

Camera: why the iPhone has the evidence advantage
iPhone 18 Pro camera hardware
Apple documents a three-camera 48MP Pro Fusion system. The main camera uses a variable aperture, while the ultrawide and telephoto cameras are also 48MP. Apple lists optical-quality 2x and 8x telephoto options, digital zoom up to 40x, sensor-shift stabilization, Pro controls, ProRAW capture, Night mode and 48MP macro photography.
Those specifications describe more than pixel count. A variable aperture can change how much light reaches the sensor and can influence depth-of-field rendering. A dedicated ultrawide camera provides a genuinely wider viewpoint, and a dedicated telephoto camera preserves detail at longer focal lengths better than cropping a main-camera image. Sensor-shift stabilization is a hardware measure against camera shake. ProRAW and manual controls give photographers additional control over exposure and editing, while Night mode and Apple’s computational photography process frames in low light.
Apple also highlights Apple Reference Image on the iPhone 18 Pro. The feature can sign every pixel captured by the main camera, helping recipients verify that an image came from the camera and identify later manipulation. That is a provenance feature, not a claim that every photograph will look better.
What the V90 Pro leak actually says
Leaked promotional material points to a 108MP main camera. It does not establish the sensor size, pixel-binning behavior, aperture, optical stabilization, autofocus system, lens quality or image-processing pipeline. It also does not confirm whether the phone has ultrawide or telephoto cameras, what video formats it supports, whether it records HDR video, or how it handles night scenes and moving subjects.
A 108MP label alone cannot determine image quality. A lower-resolution sensor with larger pixels, better optics, stabilization and stronger processing can outperform a higher-resolution sensor in dim light, video or autofocus reliability. Until a retail V90 Pro is available for controlled testing, claims about sharpness, dynamic range, color, portrait separation or zoom are speculation.
Can you say which camera is better?
No—not honestly today. The iPhone 18 Pro has a documented, multi-camera system and a defined feature set. The V90 Pro has one leaked megapixel figure and no confirmed camera layout. It is reasonable to say the iPhone offers the more fully specified camera platform; it is not reasonable to announce a final image-quality winner without a released Nubia phone and comparable photographs and video.
For a meaningful later test, use the same scenes, lighting, tripod position and output settings on both phones. Compare main, ultrawide and telephoto framing separately; inspect skin tones, shadow detail, highlights, motion blur, autofocus transitions, stabilization while walking, night noise and video audio. Record whether each sample uses the default camera app or a special mode. That methodology prevents a megapixel number or a favorable sample from becoming a misleading verdict.
Performance: A20 Pro is documented, while the Nubia processor is unknown
What Apple says about A20 Pro
The iPhone 18 Pro uses Apple’s A20 Pro. Apple lists a six-core CPU, a seven-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, a dual 16-core Neural Engine and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Apple describes the chip as “a powerhouse for everything from more advanced on-device AI workloads to demanding games” in its September 9, 2026 launch material.
Those architectural details explain the intended workload range: general application processing, graphics rendering, on-device machine-learning tasks and ray-traced effects. They do not, by themselves, provide a cross-platform benchmark score or guarantee a particular frame rate in every game. Actual results depend on a game’s graphics settings, thermal conditions, software version and sustained workload duration.
Why a speed ranking is impossible for the V90 Pro
Nubia has not confirmed the V90 Pro chipset, CPU and GPU design, memory configuration, storage technology, cooling system or operating-system version. No controlled benchmark result or independent retail review establishes how it performs in apps, games, camera processing or multitasking.
Rank #2
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).

- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
Do not infer the processor from a leaked image, a product family name or another Nubia model. Manufacturers can sell phones with similar names in different regions and can change components before release. A benchmark from a different device would not be evidence about the V90 Pro.
How to compare performance after launch
- Verify the exact retail model number and region before testing.
- Record the confirmed chipset, RAM and storage tier on each phone.
- Install the same app versions and use the same display refresh and graphics settings where the software allows.
- Run short and extended tests. A five-minute score measures burst speed; a longer session reveals heat-related throttling and sustained performance.
- Measure game frame rate, launch time, photo-processing time and battery drain separately instead of treating one benchmark as a complete verdict.
- Repeat each test and report ambient temperature, battery level and software versions so another reader can reproduce the conditions.
Until those data exist for a retail Nubia unit, the accurate conclusion is that performance cannot yet be compared fairly. The iPhone has a known platform; the Nubia does not.
Software and updates: a major unknown for the V90 Pro
iPhone 18 Pro software
Apple says the iPhone 18 Pro ships with iOS 27 and Apple Intelligence features. That gives buyers a named operating system and a defined set of launch capabilities. Apple’s documented software also integrates with the phone’s camera system, including Apple Reference Image and the Pro camera controls.
Software features can vary by language, country, account settings and regulatory requirements, so the presence of a feature in Apple’s launch description does not mean every function is available identically in every market. The hardware and launch operating system, however, are established.
What is missing for Nubia
Nubia has not confirmed the V90 Pro’s Android version, software skin, security-patch schedule, major Android-update duration or regional software differences. There is also no confirmed information about bootloader policy, preinstalled applications, camera-app capabilities or whether promised features will be available at launch.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesDo not assume the V90 Pro will receive the same support as another Nubia phone. Update commitments can differ by model, country and carrier. A seller’s claim that a phone is “Android-ready” is not a substitute for a written support policy identifying the number of operating-system upgrades and the end date for security patches.
Why support policy matters
Long-term software support affects security, app compatibility, resale value and how long a phone remains practical. It can matter more than a small difference in benchmark speed. If you keep a phone for several years, ask for the exact update promise in writing and confirm that it applies to the model and region you intend to buy. For the V90 Pro, that answer does not yet exist publicly.
Display, design and durability differences
Confirmed iPhone 18 Pro display and protection
The iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with adaptive refresh up to 120Hz. Adaptive refresh allows the phone to vary the refresh rate according to the task, balancing smooth motion with power use. Apple lists IP68 protection, a formal ingress-resistance rating under the applicable test conditions; it is not a promise that water damage is impossible or that every liquid and situation is safe.
Apple also offers 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage capacities. The 2TB option is particularly relevant to people who record large video files or keep extensive offline media, because storage cannot be expanded later through a memory card.

Leak reports describe a 6.75-inch display, up to 1,000 nits brightness, a 7.7mm-thick body, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and wet-hand touch support. Each figure remains unverified until Nubia publishes final specifications and a retail device appears.
Rank #3
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
The larger reported screen could suit reading, gaming and video, but screen size alone does not reveal resolution, color accuracy, refresh rate, touch sampling, outdoor visibility or glass durability. “Up to 1,000 nits” is a peak claim rather than a complete brightness profile; sustained brightness and the measurement mode would still need testing. Wet-hand touch support may help in rain or during exercise, but it says nothing about water resistance. Nubia’s IP rating is not stated.
Battery, charging and connectivity cannot be assumed
Apple’s cited iPhone 18 Pro material does not establish every battery or charging figure in the information available for this comparison. Nubia has not confirmed battery capacity, charging wattage, charging protocol, endurance, wireless charging, 5G bands or carrier compatibility for the V90 Pro.
Those omissions matter when importing a phone or buying from a third-party seller. A handset can work on one carrier and have limited coverage on another if the required frequency bands are absent. Charging speed can depend on the included adapter, regional accessories and supported standards. Battery capacity in milliamp-hours is not the same as battery life; efficiency, display settings, modem behavior and thermal limits all affect endurance.
Before paying for a V90 Pro listing, require a model number, supported bands, charger specification, warranty territory and return terms. If a listing supplies only leaked images and a price, treat it as unofficial rather than as proof of a launched product.
Storage and ownership considerations
The iPhone 18 Pro’s published capacities run from 256GB to 2TB. Choose based on how much video, ProRAW photography, downloaded media and offline content you keep, because the storage decision is normally permanent.
Leak reporting places the V90 Pro at up to 512GB, but it does not confirm the available tiers, whether storage is expandable, or whether every market will receive the same configuration. “Up to 512GB” does not mean that a 512GB version is available at launch or in your country.
Price, warranty coverage, launch timing and market availability are also unknown for the Nubia. A comparison based on an unofficial price can become misleading as soon as Nubia announces taxes, storage tiers or regional bundles. Wait for an official listing before calculating value or comparing financing.

Which phone makes sense for different buyers right now?
Choose the iPhone 18 Pro when certainty is the priority
- You need a phone that is officially introduced with a documented chip, camera system, storage range and operating system.
- You rely on a three-camera setup with optical-quality 2x and 8x options, ProRAW, macro capture and Apple’s established computational photography features.
- You want a specified iOS 27 launch platform and Apple Intelligence rather than an unannounced software stack.
- You require a stated IP68 rating and a published 2TB maximum storage option.
Wait on the V90 Pro when its potential appeals to you
- A larger display, a headphone jack or the reported 108MP main camera is important to you.
- You are willing to wait for Nubia to confirm the processor, camera layout, battery, charging, bands, price and support policy.
- You can buy from a seller offering a verifiable model number, local warranty and a return period after the phone is officially released.
Do not purchase a supposed V90 Pro solely because a leak lists attractive numbers. The missing information covers the components that determine daily experience: processor speed, image quality, battery endurance, network compatibility and update longevity.
A checklist for the eventual, genuine comparison
When Nubia publishes a final product page, compare these items side by side rather than relying on headline megapixels or screen size:
| Decision area | Details to verify | Why it changes the result |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Lens count, sensor size, aperture, stabilization, autofocus, video formats, frame rates and computational modes | Determines low-light quality, zoom flexibility, motion handling and video capability |
| Performance | Exact chipset, RAM, storage technology, sustained benchmarks and thermal behavior | Separates brief peak speed from performance maintained during games or long exports |
| Display | Resolution, adaptive-refresh range, sustained and peak brightness, touch sampling and protective glass | Shows readability, smoothness, battery impact and durability |
| Battery | Capacity, wired and wireless charging standards, adapter contents and standardized endurance tests | Reveals practical runtime and the real cost of fast charging |
| Software | Android version, interface, major-update years, security-patch end date and regional features | Determines security and useful life after the launch period |
| Ownership | Price by storage tier, warranty, repair options, carrier bands and official market availability | Prevents an attractive specification from becoming an impractical import |
Bottom line on Nubia V90 Pro vs iPhone 18 Pro
The iPhone 18 Pro is the defensible choice for anyone buying on confirmed information: Apple specifies its 6.3-inch 120Hz-class display, A20 Pro platform, three 48MP cameras, iOS 27, Apple Intelligence, storage options and IP68 protection. The Nubia V90 Pro may eventually offer a larger screen, a 108MP main camera, a headphone jack and other appealing hardware, but those details come from leaks and remain incomplete.
There is no supported camera winner, performance winner or update-policy winner yet. Revisit the comparison only after Nubia confirms a retail model and independent testing can measure the two phones under the same conditions.
