The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered is the clearest Witcher game to recommend in 2026: it launched on September 29, 2026, is listed for four platform families, and includes both major expansions on supported platforms. The available current details support a confident pick for The Witcher 3, but not a verified purchase ranking of every earlier game.

Check upgrade eligibility before buying
Remastered is described as a free upgrade for owners on qualifying platforms, but eligibility depends on the existing version and platform. The official support FAQ explains which copies qualify and how access works; check it, or your platform’s store, before purchasing another copy. The FAQ also says Nintendo Switch owners can claim the Switch 2 version once it is released, subject to the process detailed there. Official upgrade FAQ
