To repeat a collection, use a VLC Video source, load the songs in order, and enable Loop Playlist. Then connect OBS to a YouTube encoder stream and check the Live Control Room preview. Looping repeats your audio; it does not guarantee that the broadcast stays online if your computer, power, or internet connection fails.
Choose the right OBS source

OBS lists MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV as supported audio formats. Its listed video formats include MP4, TS, MOV, FLV, MKV, AVI, GIF, and WebM. If you use VLC Video, install VLC first; a 64-bit OBS installation requires 64-bit VLC. OBS documents Loop Playlist as on by default, but verify the setting rather than relying on its default. Set up one Marathi song to repeat
- In OBS, add a Media Source to the scene you will use for the broadcast.
- In the source properties, choose the local song file. For audio-only playback, use an audio file; if your broadcast also needs visuals, choose an appropriate video file.
- Turn on Loop, then apply the change.
- Start playback and watch the OBS audio mixer. Confirm the meter responds while the song plays.
- Let the file reach its end and verify that it starts again. Listen for an unwanted pause, cut, or abrupt transition.
Set up a playlist of Marathi songs
- Install VLC in the same architecture as OBS: use 64-bit VLC with 64-bit OBS.
- Add a VLC Video source to your scene.
- Load the local song files into the source playlist and arrange them in the order you want.
- Enable Loop Playlist. Check that shuffle is configured the way you intend; disable it if you want a fixed sequence.
- Review the source’s visibility-behavior options so hiding or showing the source does not unexpectedly restart or change playback.
- Play through several track changes and the playlist’s final-to-first transition. Check the OBS audio meter and listen for gaps or clipping.
Loop settings repeat a file or playlist; they do not promise gapless playback. Verify the transitions in a rehearsal and check the stream preview before making the broadcast public. OBS Media Sources
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
Check channel eligibility and activation
YouTube’s published live-stream requirements specify a verified channel with no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days, and a minimum age of 16. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable live streaming ahead of the time you plan to broadcast. Create the encoder stream and copy its credentials
- In YouTube Studio, create or select an encoder stream in Live Control Room.
- Copy the stream’s server URL and stream key into OBS’s stream settings.
- Treat the stream key like a password. Do not share it or show it on screen; reset it if it is exposed.
- Start streaming from OBS and wait for the signal and preview to appear in Live Control Room.
- Review the audio and video preview before starting the public broadcast.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That archive is a separate use of the music: confirm your rights cover both the live broadcast and any replay you intend to keep. YouTube encoder streaming guide
Understand what “nonstop” does and does not mean
OBS looping controls media playback, not the reliability of the broadcast connection. The stream can stop if OBS closes, the computer shuts down, power is lost, or the network disconnects. YouTube recommends testing the setup, checking the preview, monitoring audio and video quality, and ensuring adequate upload bandwidth headroom. YouTube live-streaming tips

For a DIY OBS setup, plan to keep the computer, OBS, power, and a stable internet connection running for the whole broadcast. Test the entire playlist, not just the first song, and keep an eye on Live Control Room during the stream.
Clear the rights to every song before streaming
Marathi-language music is subject to the same rights checks as other music. A song can involve separate rights in its composition and in the particular recording, and permission may vary by territory, live use, or replay. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the streamer to hold the necessary rights for worldwide use on Google services, including music rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A detected match can cause YouTube to replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the creator; continued use may lead to temporary interruption or termination. If you have a license, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist: licensed music may still be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted. YouTube Creator Music is not a clearance route for a live broadcast. YouTube describes its catalog tracks as usable in long-form videos, not live streams or Shorts; the help page describes availability for U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program and says expansion outside the U.S. is pending. Troubleshoot common problems
- The song stops at the end. For a single file, check that Media Source’s Loop option is enabled. For a collection, check Loop Playlist on the VLC Video source.
- VLC Video is missing from the source list. Install VLC; match its architecture to OBS. OBS 64-bit requires VLC 64-bit.
- The wrong song plays or the order changes. Review the playlist order and shuffle setting in the VLC source.
- The playlist restarts or behaves differently when a scene changes. Check the source’s visibility-behavior options and rehearse switching scenes.
- The audio meter does not move. Confirm the correct file and source are selected, that playback has started, and that the source is not muted.
- YouTube does not show a preview. Confirm OBS is using the selected stream’s server URL and key, then check the encoder status in Live Control Room. Keep the key private.
- The broadcast drops despite looping. Check whether OBS is still running and whether the computer, power, and network stayed available. Media looping cannot restore a failed local broadcast by itself.
- The stream is interrupted after music is detected. Review YouTube’s copyright notice and contact the rights owner about the necessary live-stream permissions and Content ID allowlisting.
