If your PC displays the “We Can’t Sign into Your Account” Windows error, follow the steps in this guide to fix it.

You may receive this error after upgrading to Windows 10. If this occurs after an upgrade, a duplicate copy of your profile may have been created.

Rebooting your computer may fix this error especially if it happened randomly. So, before you proceed reboot your computer first. Then try to sign in again. You might need to restart your computer more than once. If this does not resolve the problem, try the suggested fixes below.

For this method, you will log on to the computer using another account with admin permission. If you know the password to the built-in Administrator account you can use it for the steps in this method.

  1. Thanks for this. I logged in as another admin account, renamed that folder in regedit, but it didn’t work. So logged back to the Admin account and this time deleted that folder in the regedit, restarted the server and it worked.
