- 1, on the left side of the result screen, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
- 2, on the right side of the result screen, beneath Command Prompt, click Run as administrator.
- When you click Run as administrator, you will receive a User Account Control confirmation screen requesting you to allow the program to make changes to your computer.
- On the User Account Control confirmation screen, click Yes.
Method 2: Run as Administrator from System32 Folder
- Type %systemroot%\system32 in the search box. Then click the folder in the search results.
- On the System32 folder, locate cmd. Then, right-click cmd and select Run as administrator.
- You will receive a User Account Control confirmation. To allow command prompt to run, click Yes.
Option 2: Run Programs or Apps as Administrator

Method 1: Run as Administrator from Search
- Type the name of the program in the Windows 10 search. As an example, to run nslookup as administrator, type nslookup in the search box.

- You will receive a UAC confirmation screen requesting permission to allow the program to run. To permit the program to run as administrator, click Yes.

- Then, locate the program you want to run as administrator, right-click the program and select, Run as administrator.

- Type %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Windows PowerShell in the search box.
- When the folder opens, right-click the PowerShell shortcut you want to run as Administrator and select Run as Administrator.
- You will be required to confirm that you want the program to run. Click Yes.
