The OnePlus 15R is the easier phone to assess: OnePlus publishes its US specifications, while the 15T’s full official specifications and a current, like-for-like price were not established. The right choice therefore depends first on where you can buy each model, then on verified local pricing—not on a universal $100 price gap.
Availability comes before the spec comparison
OnePlus has a US specification page for the 15R. For the 15T, the available reporting describes a China launch and said at the time that an international release was uncertain. That report does not establish the phone’s present-day availability. Check OnePlus’s official sales channel for your country and confirm that any listing is an intended regional model, rather than assuming the China version is officially sold or supported where you live. TechRadar’s report on the 15T’s launch and global availability provides historical context, not a current stock check.
OnePlus 15R vs 15T specifications
The official US 15R page establishes the 15R specifications below. The 15T cells are marked unverified because a complete official 15T specification set was not established; its name alone is not evidence of matching or superior hardware.
| Specification | OnePlus 15R (US official page) | OnePlus 15T |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.83 inches; 2800 × 1272 resolution | Dimensions, resolution, and refresh behavior not verified |
| Processor | Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 | Not verified |
| Memory | 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra | Not verified |
| Storage | 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 | Configurations and storage type not verified |
| Battery | 7,400mAh typical capacity | Capacity not verified here |
| Wired charging | 55W SUPERVOOC | Charging specification not verified |
| Rear cameras | 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera and 8MP ultra-wide | Camera hardware not verified |
| Software | OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 | Software version and regional configuration not verified |
These 15R details come from OnePlus’s US 15R specifications page. OnePlus notes that product information can be revised, so check the page for the current details in your market. It directs readers to the full listing for complete camera and connectivity specifications; the table does not assume that the 15T shares the 15R’s features.

Price difference: reported launch figures are not today’s prices
NanoReview’s comparison reports launch prices of $699 for the OnePlus 15R and $799 for the OnePlus 15T—a nominal $100 difference. Those figures are secondary-source launch-price reports. The available information does not establish that they refer to the same market, storage configuration, or current sale prices, so they should not be treated as a live or universal price comparison. See NanoReview’s comparison and its reported launch prices.
To decide which costs less where you live, compare the same currency, seller type, storage capacity, and tax treatment, and check whether each listing is for the correct regional model. A discounted import and an official local model may not be equivalent purchases. Until matched local listings are available, there is no reliable current price gap to state.

How to choose between them
- Choose based on verified local availability first. If the 15T is not offered through an official channel in your country, weigh the risks and support terms of an import rather than treating it as a direct local alternative.
- Use the 15R’s published specifications as a known baseline. Its listed display, processor, memory, storage, battery, charging, and main rear camera details are available on OnePlus’s US page.
- Wait for an official 15T specification page before judging hardware. Without verified display, chipset, memory, storage, battery, charging, and camera details, a feature-by-feature winner cannot be established.
- Compare actual like-for-like offers. Match configuration and region, then compare current prices through sellers you trust; the reported launch prices do not answer what either phone costs now.
