The best Galaxy S26 deal depends on the exact model and storage you want, whether you can buy unlocked, and the full cost of any required carrier plan. Compare checkout prices first, then add trade-in conditions, service costs, bill-credit rules, taxes and fees. No single seller or carrier is established as the cheapest for every buyer.
Start with the same phone configuration
Compare the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra separately. Within each model, match storage, color where it affects availability, unlocked versus carrier version, and condition. A lower price for a different configuration is not a like-for-like deal.

Compare unlocked prices before carrier offers
Check the same unlocked configuration at Amazon, Best Buy, and Samsung. An unconditional price reduction is usually easier to evaluate than a carrier’s advertised “free” phone because it does not depend on keeping a particular plan or waiting for monthly credits. Verify the exact seller, stock, return terms, and final checkout total; reported retailer offers can expire or change.

Samsung’s official US offers page is also worth checking, but confirm the dates and terms for the specific S26 promotion: surfaced S26-related terms include past offer windows, not proof that those offers remain available. Calculate a carrier deal’s real cost
A carrier credit can make the phone look inexpensive while increasing what you pay for service. Compare the total cost over the period you must keep the qualifying plan, not just the advertised device payment.

- Write down the phone’s price and the total device credits, including how many months credits run.
- Check whether you need a qualifying plan, a new line, an eligible trade-in, or a combination of these.
- Compare the required plan with the plan you would otherwise choose. Multiply the monthly difference by the months you must keep the qualifying service.
- Add any new-line or activation charges, taxes, and fees that apply to your purchase and service.
- Read what happens to remaining credits if you cancel, change plans, pay off the phone early, or leave the carrier.
Use this comparison rather than the headline phone price:
Net cost over the required period = phone payments + plan-price difference + applicable taxes and fees − device credits.

Evaluate trade-ins on their actual terms
Compare the quoted value for your particular device and condition with the best cash or resale value you could obtain elsewhere. A high advertised “up to” value may not apply to your model, condition, or offer combination.

- Check eligible device models and condition requirements.
- Confirm how and when the device must be shipped, when credit is applied, and whether the credit is immediate or spread across bills.
- Check whether the trade-in can be combined with the discount or promotion you intend to use.
- Review the current offer’s return and eligibility terms before sending your old phone.
Samsung’s launch-period terms said a trade-in credit could be charged back if the old device was not sent within 15 days after receipt of the new purchase or failed eligibility checks. A gift card or Samsung Credit is not necessarily a reduction in the S26’s price. The surfaced official terms for one promotion restricted the credit to eligible additional products, excluded the qualifying phone, and included same-transaction or use-it-at-once conditions. Decide whether to buy now or wait
On October 4, 2026, Amazon Big Deal Days were reported as scheduled for October 6–7. Android Central expected S26 discounts based on earlier sale events and said competing retailers commonly run sales around the event, but those were predictions—not confirmed S26 prices or guaranteed savings. If you can wait, check the same configuration and seller across retailers during the event, then compare the actual checkout price with the offer available now. A scheduled sale is a reason to check, not proof the price will fall. If you find a price you are willing to pay now, weigh that against the uncertainty of waiting and any current offer’s expiry or stock.
