This Itechguide teaches you how to find a seller on eBay. The guide covers steps to find a seller on eBay on eBay.com and the eBay Mobile app.

Option 1: Find a Seller via PC or Mac

  • Open eBay.com from a browser on your Mac or PC
  • Then, on the top right of the page (beside the search box), click Advanced.

  • The items from the seller will be displayed. To get to the seller’s profile, click one of the items on the search result.
  • Finally, to open the seller’s eBay profile, on the right pane of the item’s details pane (beneath Seller information), click the seller’s name.
  • The seller’s eBay profile will open – see the second image below.
Another way to find a seller is to click Find Stores on the left pane of the eBay advanced search tool. Then, enter the seller’s store name and click Search. If you are not sure of the seller’s store name, enter some words you can remember. The store search will only return sellers with eBay stores.

Option 2: Find a Seller Through the iPhone App

  • Open the eBay mobile app on your iPhone.

  • The search result page will display the seller’s name – tap on it. The seller’s eBay profile will open – see the second image below…
As at the time of writing the Itechguide (April 2020), this method did not work on the Android app. The Android app returns the seller’s name on the search suggestion but when you tap the seller’s name, the search page displays “no result found”. My only conclusion is that the Android app may have a bug. If you are able to search for a seller’s name on the eBay Android app, kindly share using the “Leave a Reply” form towards the end of this page.
