The 2025 Amazon Echo Show 11 is a screen-equipped Alexa+ device with a 13-megapixel camera, stereo speakers, and built-in Thread border-router support. Amazon announced it at $219.99 in the U.S., but that was its launch price—not a confirmed price today. The available evidence explains what it is designed to do; it does not establish how good its display, sound, responsiveness, or everyday value are in practice. This is the Echo Show 11, model E78T24.
What is the Echo Show 11 (2025 release)?
Amazon introduced the Echo Show 11 in 2025 as part of a new Echo line designed for Alexa+. The device combines an 11-inch-class screen, Alexa features, a front-facing camera, and speakers in a tabletop smart display. Amazon identifies the 2025 model as E78T24 in its safety and compliance information.
Amazon says the device uses its AZ3 Pro chip and Omnisense sensor platform. The company describes Omnisense as combining the Show devices’ 13-megapixel camera with audio, ultrasound, Wi-Fi radar, an accelerometer, and Wi-Fi CSI for more context-aware interactions. Those are Amazon’s descriptions of intended capabilities, not independently verified performance results. Amazon also says the AZ3 improves Alexa wake-word detection by “over 50%”; that is Amazon’s comparison claim about wake-word detection, not a measured result for overall response speed on the Echo Show 11.
What does the hardware and display offer?
Screen and speakers
Amazon describes the display as using in-cell touch and a negative liquid crystal design, with construction intended to reduce lamination layers and maximize viewing angle. Its announcement does not give independent measurements of resolution, brightness, glare handling, color accuracy, viewing angle, or touch responsiveness. It also describes front-facing stereo speakers and a custom woofer as delivering room-filling spatial audio. That positioning does not establish how the unit sounds in a room or at typical listening distances.

Camera and sensors
The setup guide lists a 13-megapixel front camera. Amazon presents the camera and other sensors as part of Omnisense, which underpins some presence-aware and personalized features. More detail on those features—and their privacy implications—is below.
What can the camera and privacy controls do?
The camera is enabled by default, according to Amazon’s camera settings guide. A physical microphone/camera enable-disable button turns off both microphones and the camera. Amazon says a blue light appears when Alexa records and processes a request in Amazon’s cloud. Users can also review or delete Alexa voice history.

Turning off the camera changes which camera-dependent features are available. Amazon describes these uses:
- Live View: Household members can view a compatible device’s camera feed remotely in the Alexa app.
- Drop In: Depending on settings and contact permissions, someone can start an instant video or audio connection.
- Visual ID: The device can recognize enrolled household members to personalize content and routines.
- Adaptive Content and proximity sensing: Amazon says the screen can adjust what it shows based on proximity. Its screen-device settings guide says Adaptive Content can show photos, news, and recommendations from across the room, then switch to widgets as someone approaches.
- Personalized reminders: Amazon says a reminder can appear when the intended household member is recognized.
Amazon also describes camera-based presence detection that detects whether someone is present without identifying that person. These are stated feature behaviors; they do not establish recognition accuracy or how often personalization will be useful in everyday use. Consider whether camera-dependent convenience is worth having a camera enabled in the room, and use the physical control when you want to disable the camera and microphones.

Can it control Thread smart-home devices?
Yes, the 2025 Echo Show 11 is listed by Amazon as a built-in Thread Border Router supporting Thread 1.3 in its Thread support documentation, last updated May 1, 2026. That makes it relevant to a Thread-based smart-home setup, but does not guarantee that every smart-home accessory will work with it. Compatibility depends on the specific accessory, its Matter or Thread support, the network, software, and setup. Check the manufacturer’s compatibility details for each device before buying it for this use.
How do you set up the Echo Show 11?
Amazon’s setup guide lists the included Echo Show 11 and power adapter, an Amazon account, and internet access with Wi-Fi credentials as requirements. You can continue setup by scanning the on-screen QR code in the Alexa app or complete setup on the device.

What did Amazon announce about price and availability?
Amazon announced a U.S. launch price of $219.99 and availability beginning November 12, 2025. The company’s announcement said, “Echo Show 8 will be available for $179.99, and Echo Show 11 will be available for $219.99.” These are announced launch prices, not current retailer quotes. Check current price and stock before buying. Amazon also said Alexa+ Early Access came with purchase of a new Echo device at announcement; current access and feature availability should be confirmed because they can change. The available facts make it a plausible fit for someone who wants an Alexa+ screen with camera-based personalization and a device that can serve as a Thread border router. Whether it is a good buy depends on qualities the published product information does not settle: picture and sound quality, interface responsiveness, reliability, the frequency or intrusiveness of home-screen promotions, and value against alternatives such as the Echo Show 8, 15, or 21. Those require hands-on evaluation and comparison. Treat the Echo Show 11’s capabilities as a feature list, not proof that it performs better than competing displays.

Before choosing it, weigh the camera’s usefulness against your comfort with a camera in the room, verify that your specific Thread or Matter accessories are compatible, and compare the current asking price with the experience you need. Amazon’s published specifications alone are not enough to deliver a full performance verdict.
Placement and safety
Amazon specifies an electrical rating of 18.0V/1.67A and an operating temperature range of 0–35°C (32–95°F). Its safety guidance says to use the included adapter, avoid sinks and other wet locations, and keep the device away from steam and extreme temperatures. Amazon cautions that third-party accessories can affect performance and, in limited circumstances, may void the limited warranty.
