Start with the offer shown for your service address, then compare its introductory price with the rate after the promotion, upload and download speeds, Wi-Fi costs, and setup or equipment fees. Spectrum’s published standard rates and online promotions are different figures; existing customers should check their bill for their current rate.
Start with the price and offer for your address
Spectrum’s residential broadband disclosure says its standard retail rates are the same across its 41-state service area, but it directs existing customers to their bills for their actual current rate. Availability and promotional eligibility still depend on the service address. Treat the rates below as published figures, not a guarantee that every plan or price is available at every home. Check the offer and its Broadband Facts label in Spectrum’s address-based shopping flow before ordering.
Spectrum’s plan page advertised these introductory online offers when checked: Advantage for $30 per month, Premier for $40 per month, and Gig for $60 per month, each for one year. These promotional prices are not the standard rates in the disclosure and may change or depend on address and eligibility. Spectrum also advertised a one-year Spectrum Mobile promotion; that is separate from the internet plan price.
Compare plan speeds and published standard rates
The standard rates below come from Spectrum’s residential broadband disclosure. The speeds in this table are the tier figures in that disclosure; representative Broadband Facts labels can show different typical speeds for a particular offer.

| Plan | Published standard monthly rate | Published download/upload speeds | Eligibility or availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Internet Advantage | $50 | 100 Mbps / 20 Mbps | Subject to address-level availability |
| Internet Premier | $85 | 500 Mbps / 20 Mbps | Subject to address-level availability |
| Internet Gig | $105 | 1 Gbps / 35 Mbps | Subject to address-level availability |
| Internet Assist | $25 | 50 Mbps / 10 Mbps | Limited eligibility |
| Discounted Internet Assist | $15 | Not stated in the standard-rate disclosure | Eligibility applies |
| Internet 2 Gig | $125, including Advanced WiFi | Typical 2,056 Mbps / 1,002 Mbps | Available in certain locations |
For a like-for-like comparison, look at upload as well as download speed. Upload capacity matters for activities such as video calls, sending large files, and backing up photos. The standard rate disclosure lists different upload figures by tier, while a Broadband Facts label reports typical speeds for a specific offer; those measurements should not be substituted for the tier figures without noting the distinction.
What will Spectrum cost after the first year?
Do not assume the introductory rate continues after 12 months. The offer’s Broadband Facts label is the most useful place to check the promotion duration and the rate that follows it. That later rate may itself be subject to change.

Premier label example
A California Internet Premier label lists a $50 monthly introductory rate for 12 months, followed by $85 per month, subject to change. It reports typical speeds of 572 Mbps down and 23 Mbps up, and a California Cost Recovery Charge of $1.25. This is one label and offer, not a universal Premier price or speed.
Gig label example
A national Internet Gig label lists $70 per month for 12 months, followed by $105 per month, subject to change. That label includes a modem and Advanced WiFi and reports typical speeds of 1,159 Mbps down and 1,050 Mbps up, typical latency of 19 ms, unlimited data, and no additional data charge. These terms and metrics apply to that label; compare them with the label attached to the offer at your address.

Internet Assist label
An Internet Assist label lists $25 per month and states that the price is not introductory and the plan requires no contract. It reports typical speeds of 57 Mbps down and 11 Mbps up, typical latency of 19 ms, unlimited data, and no additional data charge. Eligibility is limited, so this is not an option for every household.
Is Wi-Fi included?
It depends on the plan and offer. Spectrum’s online page says Advantage and Premier can add Advanced WiFi for $10 per month, while Gig includes Advanced WiFi in the offer presented there. The national Gig label described above also includes modem and Advanced WiFi. Do not add a Wi-Fi charge to an offer that already includes it.
Rank #4
- Dual-band Wi-Fi with 5 GHz speeds up to 867 Mbps and 2.4 GHz speeds up to 300 Mbps, delivering 1200 Mbps of total bandwidth¹. Dual-band routers do not support 6 GHz. Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- Covers up to 1,000 sq. ft. with four external antennas for stable wireless connections and optimal coverage.
- Supports IGMP Proxy/Snooping, Bridge and Tag VLAN to optimize IPTV streaming
- Access Point Mode - Supports AP Mode to transform your wired connection into wireless network, an ideal wireless router for home
- Advanced Security with WPA3 - The latest Wi-Fi security protocol, WPA3, brings new capabilities to improve cybersecurity in personal networks
Spectrum’s disclosure lists standard monthly charges of $10 for Advanced WiFi, $30 for Invincible WiFi, and $5 per WiFi extender. The Internet Assist label lists optional WiFi for $10 per month and Invincible WiFi for $30 per month. Confirm which service is included, optional, or priced differently on the actual offer label.
Spectrum says customers may use their own modem or gateway. Check the provider’s current equipment policy and compatibility information before buying a specific device. A customer-owned router is not necessarily interchangeable with Spectrum’s managed WiFi service or its advanced features.

Which installation and other fees should you check?
Spectrum’s residential disclosure lists the following charges. They apply according to the stated terms and the customer’s circumstances; not every charge appears on every bill.
| Charge | Published amount |
|---|---|
| Activation | $20 |
| Professional installation | $50 |
| Change of service | $50 |
| Hourly labor | $50 |
| Reconnect | $5 |
| Late fee | Up to $8.95 |
| Declined autopayment | $5 |
| Early termination | $0 |
| Unreturned modem | $90 |
| Unreturned wireless router | $90 |
| Unreturned WiFi extender | $60 |
Setup charges can affect your first-year total, and unreturned-equipment charges can matter when you cancel or change service. A $0 early termination fee does not eliminate those separate possible costs.
Check the Broadband Facts label for the all-in comparison
The FCC created Broadband Facts labels to help consumers distinguish plans and compare providers. Read the label for the exact offer rather than relying only on a plan name or headline price. Check its introductory and later rates, typical download and upload speeds, latency, data terms, and whether equipment is included.
A label is not necessarily the final all-in bill. Optional equipment charges and geographically variable taxes may be additional; the FCC explains that these can affect the bill beyond the label price. For existing service, the current bill is the practical reference for the amount being charged.

A quick checklist before choosing
- Confirm the plan and price offered at your service address and whether you qualify for the promotion or Internet Assist.
- Write down the introductory rate, how long it lasts, and the rate shown after it ends.
- Compare download and upload speeds, using the figures from the same offer label when comparing plans.
- Check whether modem and Wi-Fi service are included or whether an equipment or Wi-Fi fee applies.
- Include applicable installation or activation charges in your first-year estimate, and plan to return rented equipment if you leave.
- Review data and contract terms on the label; do not infer them from the plan name.
For context, the FCC says labels should make it possible for consumers to “differentiate each plan a provider offers” so they can compare plans within a provider and across providers. The label is a comparison aid, not a substitute for the address-specific checkout terms.
