Installing Roblox from an APK does not appear to automatically void the entire Fire tablet warranty. Amazon’s published warranty terms focus on hardware defects and exclude certain problems tied to alteration, misuse, third-party repairs or parts, and other external causes. They do not specifically say that sideloading Roblox cancels all hardware coverage. Amazon may still assess whether a reported hardware fault is covered and whether an excluded cause is connected to it; the published terms cannot predict the decision on an individual claim. Amazon’s warranty terms
What Amazon’s warranty terms mean for sideloading Roblox
Amazon describes its limited warranty as covering hardware components under ordinary consumer use, subject to its listed exclusions. The terms reviewed do not name installing a third-party app as an automatic reason to cancel every warranty right. The key distinction is between putting an app on the tablet and a hardware problem that Amazon determines was caused by an excluded condition.
Amazon’s warranty language includes hardware affected by accident, misuse, neglect, alteration, third-party repair or parts, commercial use, or other external causes. Whether any exclusion applies depends on the device and the circumstances of the fault. This is an interpretation of the published terms, not a specific Amazon ruling about Roblox APKs.
App installation is not the same question as hardware damage
A software problem—such as an app failing to install or run—is different from a physical hardware defect. Amazon’s limited warranty addresses hardware components, so it should not be read as a promise to support every app or software configuration. The reviewed sources do not establish that sideloading Roblox causes a hardware defect, nor do they establish how Amazon would decide a claim involving a particular tablet.

Rooting, installing unofficial firmware, modifying the operating system, or tampering with hardware are distinct from simply installing an app. The cited terms do not specifically resolve each of those activities, so it would be too broad to claim either that they always void coverage or that they can never affect a claim.
Warranty coverage varies by model, edition, and country
Do not assume one Fire tablet’s warranty period applies to another. Amazon’s Fire HD 8 (12th Generation) safety document lists a 90-day limited warranty for standard Fire HD 8 and Fire HD 8 Plus models, and a two-year Worry-Free Guarantee for Fire HD 8 Kids and Kids Pro. Those are examples for those editions, not a warranty table for every Fire model or market. Amazon Fire HD 8 (12th Generation) Safety & Compliance Information

Amazon’s cited 90-day warranty page covers devices bought from Amazon.com or authorized US resellers and advises buyers in other countries to confirm which warranty provider applies. The applicable terms may also depend on the seller and local consumer law. Amazon says its limited warranty does not affect additional rights available under applicable law. - Identify the exact device. Check its model, generation, edition, purchase country, and seller, then find the warranty terms that apply to that purchase.
- Describe the fault accurately. If the issue is hardware-related, contact Amazon Customer Support and explain the symptoms. Amazon directs customers to support for warranty service; do not attempt repairs first if you are seeking warranty help.
- Prepare the tablet before sending it in. Back up your data and remove removable storage. Amazon warns that stored material may be lost or reformatted during service.
The reviewed service instructions do not say that uninstalling Roblox is required, and they do not establish that uninstalling it or factory-resetting the tablet restores warranty coverage. Ask Amazon about the exact device and reported problem rather than relying on either assumption.

Will Roblox work on every Fire tablet?
Warranty coverage and app compatibility are separate questions. Amazon says apps must be compatible with a tablet’s specifications, and its developer FAQ says Google Mobile Services do not work on Fire tablets. These general compatibility points do not establish whether Roblox is currently available or works on a specific Fire model. Check the app’s current requirements and your tablet’s compatibility before installing it. Amazon developer FAQ
