This Itechguide teaches you how to block people on Instagram. The guide covers steps to block someone on Instagram from the App or from a PC.

On the Instagram App, you can block someone completely or restrict them. When you block someone on Instagram they will not be able to find your profile, posts or story. However, when you restrict people on Instagram you hide their comments on your posts and photos. The desktop only offers option to block.

Option 1: Block People Through the Instagram App

  • Open the Instagram App on your phone.

Here are the steps…

  • Open Instagram.com from your PC and sign in to your account.
  • Then, in the search bar type the name of the person you want to block. From the list returned, click the person you want to block.
Instagram search bar is on the top center of the page.
