The main difference between the digital bundles is how many character season passes they include; SNK announced the Legend and Revenge Editions at the same price, even though Revenge includes one more pass. On Nintendo Switch 2, the names differ: Standard is the base game, while Starter includes all three announced passes.
What does each edition include?
SNK’s October 10, 2026 announcement distinguishes the two digital bundles by their included season passes. The Switch 2 announcement uses separate Standard and Starter names. These are announced contents and prices; check the live listing for your platform and region before buying.

| Switch 2 Starter Edition | Base game plus Season Passes 1, 2, and 3 | Digital; $29.99 / €29.99. SNK did not announce a physical price. The announced January 21, 2027 physical release is for Japan. |
Prices above are announced digital prices, not a promise that every storefront currently charges the same amount. SNK says storefront prices may vary. The October announcement also lists Season Pass 3 separately at $19.99 / €19.99; its price and timing may vary by storefront.
What is the difference between Legend and Revenge Edition?
Both editions include the base game, Season Pass 1, and Season Pass 2. Revenge Edition adds Season Pass 3; that is the main content distinction in SNK’s October 10 announcement. Legend does not include the third pass, so the names are not interchangeable even though they share the first two passes.

SNK listed both digital bundles at $49.99 / €49.99. Based on that announced pricing, Revenge is the bundle that includes the additional pass at the same stated price. This is a comparison of announced bundle contents and prices, not a promise about today’s checkout total: a regional storefront may display different prices or availability. Check what the exact listing grants before purchase.
If you already own the base game or one or more passes, don’t assume that buying a bundle will subtract the value of owned content or grant a refund. The announcements summarized here do not specify how duplicate ownership is handled. Review the platform’s purchase terms and the bundle’s included-content and ownership notes before paying.
What does Season Pass 1 include?
Season Pass 1 lists five fighters: Andy Bogard, Ken, Joe Higashi, Chun-Li, and Mr. Big. SNK announced this roster in January 2026. Steam lists the pass as a separate product, so buyers should check whether their chosen edition includes it rather than assume that purchasing the base game automatically adds the pass.
The pass is the same roster whether you are comparing it as a separately listed product or as content bundled in an edition. The practical question is whether the product page for your purchase explicitly includes Season Pass 1. Standard Edition is described as the base game only, while Legend, Revenge, and Switch 2 Starter list the first pass among their bundled content.
What does Season Pass 2 include?
Season Pass 2 lists six fighters: Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Wolfgang Krauser, Mr. Karate, and Kenshiro. The January 2026 SNK announcement gives this roster. Like Season Pass 1, it is separately listed on Steam; confirm the contents of the specific edition or add-on in the storefront where you plan to buy.
Season Pass 2 is included in both Legend and Revenge, as well as Switch 2 Starter. The Standard Edition listing is base game only. If your priority is the second pass, the edition comparison matters: buying the base game by itself does not establish that the pass is part of the purchase.

What does Season Pass 3 include?
SNK’s October 10, 2026 announcement lists seven fighters in Season Pass 3:
Recommended Free Tools
- Rick Strowd
- Duck King
- Kim Kaphwan
- Manjiro Sano
- Ken Ryuguji
- Laocorn
- Reina
The October announcement is the latest schedule and lineup information available here. It lists Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji for October 2026, Laocorn for November, and Reina for December. These are planned release windows, and SNK says timing may change. The announcement does not establish that a planned fighter has already become available; check the current platform listing for status in your region.
Season Pass 3 is the content that separates Revenge from Legend. It is also included in Switch 2 Starter, but not in Switch 2 Standard. SNK listed Season Pass 3 separately at $19.99 / €19.99 in its October announcement. That announced add-on price can help frame a comparison, but it should not be treated as a guaranteed live price or as proof that buying separate products will cost less than a bundle.
How many fighters are listed across the passes?
SNK’s announced rosters list five fighters in Season Pass 1, six in Season Pass 2, and seven in Season Pass 3. Taken together, that is 18 named fighter entries across the three passes. The bundles that include all three passes—Revenge Edition and Switch 2 Starter—therefore include the three announced pass rosters. Legend includes the first two rosters, or 11 listed fighters across those passes.
This is a count of the named fighters in the pass announcements, not a complete character count for the game or a statement about any other game content. If a particular character is your reason for buying, check which pass lists that fighter and then verify that the edition or add-on you are purchasing includes that pass.

- ATLUS' newest fantasy JRPG with beautiful anime cutscenes
- Free demo with save-data carry over
- Awaken 40+ "Archetypes," magical powers that lie dormant in your heart
- Innovative battle system that blends strategic turn-based combat and dynamic real-time combat
- Confirm the platform and region. Edition names and live availability may differ between console, PC, and regional storefront listings.
- Read the included-content text. Look for the base game and the numbered season passes explicitly. A base-game listing does not, by itself, establish that character passes are included.
- Match the bundle to the pass roster you want. Use the rosters above to see which listed fighters are associated with each pass. Do not infer a pass from a product image or abbreviated title if the store’s contents list is unclear.
- Compare the current total. SNK’s announced prices are a reference, not a guarantee of the live checkout price. Compare the edition and any separate pass listings on the same storefront before paying.
- Check whether a physical listing is the same product. Confirm its platform, format, edition name, and stated included content. In particular, the Switch 2 physical date announced by SNK applies to Japan, not to a confirmed worldwide launch.
This process is especially useful when a store displays several products with similar names. A bundle that includes some passes is not necessarily the bundle that includes all of them, and storefront listings should be treated as the final check for what a purchase grants.
Which edition is right for each kind of buyer?
If you want only the base game, the Standard Edition is the clearly identified base-game-only option in SNK’s edition information. On Switch 2, the announced Standard digital version costs $19.99 / €19.99 and is dated October 22, 2026. Verify the platform listing, since availability and price may vary elsewhere.
If you want the base game and Seasons 1 and 2, Legend Edition is the bundle that matches that set. If you want all three announced passes with the base game, Revenge Edition is the matching digital bundle in SNK’s comparison. For Switch 2, Starter Edition packages the base game and all three passes under a different name. Checking the contents rather than relying on the edition name is particularly important when moving between platforms.

If you are undecided about the third pass, compare the exact prices and contents shown for your account region. SNK announced Legend and Revenge at the same price, but storefront prices can differ. Do not conclude that a standalone pass or a bundle is the better deal until you have compared the live total and checked whether you own any included items already.
What is specific to the Switch 2 versions?
SNK announced two Switch 2 digital products with different contents: Standard is the base game alone, while Starter bundles the base game with Season Passes 1–3. The announced digital date for both Switch 2 editions is October 22, 2026. The Starter Edition’s digital price is $29.99 / €29.99; SNK did not state a physical price in its Switch 2 announcement.
For physical availability, SNK named January 21, 2027 for Japan and said other regions would be announced later. That date should not be read as a global physical release date. If you are buying outside Japan, verify the local retailer’s date and the physical product’s edition and included-content description.

The Switch 2 bundle names do not mirror the Legend and Revenge names: Standard is the base game, and Starter includes all three passes. When comparing a Switch 2 product with a listing on another platform, use the stated contents and format rather than assuming that a similarly positioned edition has the same name, price, or release date.

The edition and pass announcements identify bundled passes and list their fighters. They do not provide a full accounting of any other possible add-on content or explain the gameplay details of each fighter. If you are deciding based on a particular feature beyond the named roster, rely on the description for that specific store product rather than assuming it comes with a pass.
Storefronts can also present a pass as a separate product even when another edition bundles it. Steam currently displays separate pass listings and edition bundles. That makes the product’s included-content section more reliable for a specific transaction than a general assumption based on platform, game title, or another region’s listing.
The announcements also do not settle every question a buyer might have about ownership, such as how a bundle is handled if you already own part of it. Check the platform’s terms and the exact purchase screen for duplicate-content or upgrade details. The safest factual comparison is the one SNK states directly: which passes are included in the named product.
Which date and price should you rely on?
Use SNK’s October 10, 2026 announcement for the latest edition comparison, Season Pass 3 roster, planned character schedule, and announced prices described here. The January 2026 announcement supplies the Season Pass 1 and 2 rosters. The Switch 2 announcement supplies its edition names, digital release date, and Japan-only physical date qualification. These announcements describe announced terms; a storefront may show a different current price or availability.
Before purchase, check the exact product page in the account region where you will play, then confirm the edition name, platform, format, current price, and numbered passes listed as included. This is the safest way to avoid buying the base game or a partial bundle when you intended to get a different set of passes.
