iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s Battery Comparison: My Verdict

Looking at the table above, it is clear that iPhone SE delivers better battery time for the things that matter to the average Smartphone user. Most of us will either be surfing the internet or playing video or music. On these key areas, iPhone SE wins.

So, if battery time is a major for you, you should be going for iPhone SE. In any case, it is a good idea to see all features compared before you make a decision. Next, I will compare the Camera for iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s:

iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s: Camera

iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s: Camera

When it comes to camera, both phones offer 12-megapixel camera and Five-element lens. Both phones also offer the same Backside illumination sensor (BSI or BI).

BSI is that feature of a camera that increase the amount of light captured. By increasing the amount of light captured, these iPhones improve camera performance in low-light.

In summary, comparing iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s Cameras, both phone models offer exactly the same features.

iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s: Size & Weight

This is one of the features of these two models that differentiates them. The table below the image summarizes the weight and dimensions of both models.

S/NFeature iPhone SE iPhone 6s
1 Height 4.87 inches (123.8 mm) 5.44 inches (138.3 mm)
2 Width 2.31 inches (58.6 mm) 2.64 inches (67.1 mm)
3 Depth 0.30 inch (7.6 mm) 0.28 inch (7.1 mm)
4 Weight 3.99 ounces (113 grams) 5.04 ounces (143 grams)

iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s Weight & Size Comparison: My Verdict

iPhone 6s is clearly a bigger phone. It is wider, taller and heavier than iPhone SE. Because iPhone 6s is a bigger phone, one would have expected it to be thicker that SE. But comparing the Depth of both phones, 6s is thinner.

Putting it all together, if you want a wider (and slightly heavier) but thinner phone, go for 6s. But if your preference is a lighter and smaller phone, iPhone SE could be for you.

iPhone or SE iPhone 6s: SIM Card Option

One important consideration when deciding which phone model to buy is the SIM size options. Though, it may not be a deal breaker as you can always order a new SIM size, it is an important information to have.

Fortunately, iPhone and SE iPhone 6s offers the same SIM card size: Nano-SIM.

Tip
iPhone SE and iPhone 6s are not compatible with existing micro-SIM cards. If you have a micro-SIM, you will have to get a Nano-SIM to use SE or 6s.

iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s: Price

Below, I have put up the prices of top selling iPhone iPhone SE and 6s on Amazon.com. Comparing prices displayed, iPhone 6s is more expensive. This is expected as iPhone 6s is a bigger phone.

By the way, you can click any of the phones below to buy directly from Amazon.com. See my note and final verdict below.

The prices above may change from time to time as they are automatically updated from Amazon.com.

My Final Verdict

Here is my final take: iPhone SE and iPhone 6s offer the same color options, storage capacity options, Camera features and SIM card.

The difference between the two models is found in Battery, dimensions and weight. If your major consideration is battery, then you may want to go for the SE. But if size and weight are important to you, iPhone 6s may appeal to you.

Finally, considering price and all the features already compared, since the price difference between the 2 models is relatively marginal, iPhone 6s offers best value for money, except you are very particular about size.
