In this Itechguide, Victor teaches you how to clear the clipboard on Android. The guide covers steps to clear individual items from the clipboard or clear all items on the clipboard.
Step 1: Open the Clipboard Menu
- From any app that allows you to copy and paste, tap and hold on an empty space until the Clipboard menu is displayed. In this example, I am using the Samsung Notes app but you access the menu from any app that allows you to copy and/or paste.
- From the displayed list, click Clipboard. All items on the clipboard will be displayed on the bottom of the phone.
Step 2: Clear Individual Items from the Clipboard
- To delete an individual item from the clipboard, tap on the item and hold until 2 more options are displayed.
- From the displayed options, tap Delete from clipboard. The item will be deleted without any further confirmation.
Step 3: Delete all Items from the Clipboard
Another method to clear clipboard on Android is to delete all cached items on the clipboard.
Here are the steps…
- Tap and hold an empty space in any app that allows you to copy and paste. Then, from the displayed options, tap Clipboard. The clipboard history will be displayed at the bottom of the phone.
- On the bottom right of the clipboard history, tap the delete icon. A delete confirmation pop-out will be displayed on the bottom of the screen.
- Finally, to clear all clipboard items on Android, on the confirmation pop-out window, tap Delete.
